Default Bluetooth connection to Note-II skips

I perused all 96 threads and came up with nothing.

If it's discussed somewhere...someone please direct me.
I know I am not alone in frustration on this issue.

Much of time, more often than not, the music skips while my Samsung Note-II is streaming music from the Poweramp app to my stock WRX radio.

I'm losing my mind!

Sometimes I get it to clear, other times it doesn't work consistently until the next time I start the car.

I've tried ALL of the basic troubleshooting, ie reconnecting, rebooting, restarting the app....etc.

Each of the vendors with equipment and/or software involved in this equation of fail is pointing fingers at each other.

I read somewhere about it being a bug. I have a sprint note 2 as well and it happens even when listening using my headphones while screen is off.

I've tried most of the basic actions such as clearing cache, and killing tasks.

I just removed 'tune in radio' which is one of those apps that auto launch when blue tooth is turned on.

I noticed it gets really bad if someone else in the car has their blue tooth on, or if I am near another vehicle I suspect as having blue tooth.

I wish I could nail it down.

I have wondered if replacing a HU would help, but reading thru the audio forums, I am not seeing a lot of feedback related to using bluetooth from an android device to a new HU.

Ok..so I have kinda the same problem...so when im streaming from my iphone 5 to my 13 wrx stock radio..if the phone is in my pocket and I rest my palm on my leg where my palm hits the top of the phone it will skip/cut out...this only happens while in my pocket..also this is has happened on three different iphone 5's...I even restored my phone and set it up as a new one instead of the cloud to rule out a software problem...no go...it even does it on other Bluetooth devices..I demonstrated it for the apple tech on a jawbone speaker....anyone else with this???

happens on my iphone 5 as well. A reset fixes it. It seems to almost certainly be caused by lack of processing power/background apps.

That's possible....but when restored and set it up as a new phone...I only installed and only had running the app I'm streaming my music from which is rhapsody and it still did it...and it's not the app because it does it on others too....it has totally boggled my mind

Same phone, same issue here. FWIW my last phone, Samsung Galaxy Epic exhibited the same behavior. I flashed Cyanogenmod 9 onto it and everything worked fine from there on out. My Note II is stock, cuts out occasionally, and seems to connect/disconnect/connect a lot.

I have a GS3, and I think its the factory HU. I used to stream from Pandora, the Samsung music app, and the Google Play music app all the time in my Veloster and it never skipped like this once. With my new subie, it happens every 3rd or 4th drive of the day.... the skipping gets worse (more frequent) until it happens about every second, and then it completely clears up. It doesn't matter what app (I've switched, and the problem persists during a given bout), and toggling Bluetooth off and then back on again doesn't help either. I think the factory HU decoding cache is having an issue, or something along those lines. The music is not pausing at these skips at all (like you would expect if it was the phone). The Song continues playing, the tempo is not thrown off.

I have an iPhone 5 and it used to skip on my stock head unit. I swapped to a 2011 forester radio a month ago, and has yet to skip.

This happens to me as well on a '12 Impreza. The only thing that cures it is turning off the car and turning it back on. Usually when it happens, its resolved the next time I start up

Yeah, I'm not about to reset my phone every other time I drive my car. I'd buy a new head unit first that has better Android integration (phone book, etc.) and Sirius :-)

I have sprint and a s3. Doesn't skip, but sprint coverage sucks. Could be your problem

I have been able do duplicate this to some point. I have a blue tooth receiver in my barn and frequently stream music from my Note-II. If I move my phone beyond the BT receiver's range (20-25'), it will skip in the same fashion as the WRX. Not loosing a beat, just cutting in and out.

Makes me wonder if the BT receiver in the car just sucks in general.

I am still baffled why introducing another phone to the car's cabin while mine is connected BT makes that stream skip like crazy!

I am not so sure I will keep this car long enough to invest in a new HU just to solve this issue. As much as I hate cords, I may need to just plug in the old fashioned way to get phone music to HU.

Sorry to bring this back up, but if you are rooted and running cyanogenmod or any other 4.2 rom it could be because the bluetooth driver for these roms are not stock and not AVRCP 1.3 yet. This would also be why you wouldnt see song information on your HU. If that's not the case...then I don't know. lol
