It's about time. You may have been the last power hungry soul to finally convert from a top mount, iwg, stock location setup!

Can't wait to see results even if they're cast rated down low! Remind me why you don't spin to 8 again; you're heads are semi built?!

stock rods and stock valve train....

I bet I can spin it to 8k a couple of times but I don't want to risk it. I plan on build another block soon that I should be able to spin to 8k easy... but for now I will enjoy the car until it breaks.

Have you found the leak? It must be at the header/up flange or DP/Exh flange with the vbands on both ends of the turbine housing, you almost can't have leaks there if the vband clamp is on and tight!

What spring do you have in the gate...1bar?

I think we all want to see how this big boy spools. You have the vband .86AR HS right?

That's a big jump Juan 68 lb. to 90 lb.

You'll love that PTE6466. I special ordered the AMS 900x rotated kit with the PTE6466 and I love it. Right now I'm making 440whp on 18psi right now. Full spool at 4600rpm.

I couldn't imagine making 440 at 18psi. That's so nasty. I need to go rotated like yesterday. Lol

It's almost comical how easily my car makes power. It was making 400 whp on 16 psi, which is wastegate pressure. Right now at 18 psi on e85 not even pushing the car, exhaust gas temps are 1300* Fahrenheit. I run the same EGTs curising on the highway as I do when I'm on the car AND I just ordered my 07 2.5i NA intake manifold which will further improve efficiency. Once I get that in and my FPR, it's time to bring on the 40+ psi. I <3 big rotated turbos.

Was the 440whp on 4th gear?

Just waiting on my 07 2.5i Impreza intake manifold. Build done by Goodspeed Performance here in Scottsdale and all tuning done by Clark Turner. Can't believe how smooth and strong the car is at the same time.

Cosworth pistons
Cosworth rods
Cosworth oil pump
08+ nitrided crank
ARP case bolts etc
ACL bearings
MAPerformance H11 head studs
Hand ported/polished heads
Ferrea stock size valves
SuperTech 82lb springs/titanium retainers
GSC S3 282 cams
AMR UEL big tube header
AMS 900x V-band rotated kit
Precision PTE6466
Tial MV-R 44mm EWG
Tial Q 50mm BOV

Please excuse the shaky cam and my stupid intro, but at least it gives an idea of how aggressive these cams are:

I think everyone with a custom setup needs to ditch the clockwise FMIC piping. It just makes no sense! If you're rotated you can run the pipe right off the compressor and under the intake manifold.

I say why complicate it and what am I really going to gain out of it? like 50 rpm of perceived spool? This isn't a stock turbo...

It's about managing heat, not about shorter pipes. Even with a blanket your turbo will still get hot. And running the post intercooler pipe within an inch of the turbo really doesn't make any sense. Oh well. I'm sure it works, it's just not ideal and there's no reason to do it that way other than convenience (because someone sells pipes like that).

I agree with Ben. The pipe over the turbo also makes working on the car more difficult

My engine bay has never been the nicest:

I need to get a custom intake.

It seems that I have to take the transmission out... I cannot get the car in gear so is going to be a couple of weeks before I can post any results. So far it made 412whp 3rd gear on wastegate pressure 17.8psi. I also what to swap my bellhousing with an older bellhousing so I can use my speedo.

Does anyone has any experience with ACT 4-puck. I always had issues trying to get into third gear when drag racing. I am currently running the ACT xtreme plate a full face disk. I have used the 6-puck sprung clutch before with my five speed and I wonder if the 4-puck will help me with my third gear shifting issue. I only drive the car like once a week.
