There's something to be said for simple cheap solutions. Call it a band-aid if you will, but it's essentially what Subaru has done for the 08+ pump hangar.
I agree with you on this Concillian, And I have to say I don't have much much to loose with trying Shane's slosh mod. O except for $13 bucks lol. I'm not too concerned about the trunk space tbh, currently I have my meth setup taking up the trunk area. I mounted the main tank on the left side and it gravity feeds to a surge tank that is mounted in the spare tire area and the meth pump is right next to the surge tank.

I have tried to lower it further into the tank and that helped a little, But a surge tank would work awesome.

I have a sti assembly sitting in my box at work and just havent had time to try it out. If I get a chance to install it I will let you know if it works out.
I thought about this as well, but I would guess Shane's slosh mod provides the same effect, since i already ordered the tank to do this mod i am going with that route 1st to see how it pans out.

Please do let me know If u get around to installing and Testing out the Sti pump assembly method.

Thanks for your feedback

There is a jet/motive/venturi pump which is only fuel moving fuel. It looks like a pickup though.

Gotcha, thank you again sir, ill be checking the return line and making sure there are no clogs along with doing the Shane's slosh mod, which funny enough is pretty dam close to what the sti pump assembly has.

So im sure if the sti came with this feature that the engineers did it for a Particular reason.

Update:
So I removed my fuel pump assembly and in process of installing the "Shane's surge tank mod"
Also I removed the pickup assembly on the other side of the tank,
I checked the return lines, the pickup, and the return jet pump on the primary fuel pump assembly. All seems well, no blockages and all line connections are secure.

Here's a pic of the pickup on the left side of the tank

Once I finalize the surge tank ill
Post up pics as well and test results.

Fingers crossed.

Update:

Sorry for the long delay, been tied up with house and wife stuff lol.

So installed the surge tank seen here:

After the install i went out to test the system and instantly noticed the car was running about .5 -.7 leaner about 4k and above, so instead of 11.1-2 i was at 11.6-.9. after that i removed the surge tank and my a/f's went back to normal. So at this point im at a loss, i think ill be going with a full surge tank settup as that seems to be the best solution.
