that sucks man. It seems like this area likes to steal our WRX's. Mines been sitting in upstate NY at my fathers, but I'll be bringing it down to NNJ soon as I occasionally need a car. Makes me nervous haha.

Pics of what the car looks like now?

I've seen a few cars that have been dumped in Queens and burned up. I stumbled across an Evo last year and a Civic a few years ago. Here's some photos of the Civic that was dumped in my neighborhood (which is nice I might add...but close to the BQE). Looks like it was taken for a joy ride then they tried to burn it down.

Sorry for thread jack OP

I don't understand the point of burning the car. Isn't it enough to steal it and joy ride it?

I heard the idea is to damage the car so much that it is totalled so the owner doesn't have to bother fixing it. Plus, it probably gets rid of a lot of evidence.

When my Nissan Maxima was stolen several years ago instead of burning it, they slashed the interior with a knife...among other things.

ha, so they're damaging the car to do me a favor after they ripped through it? Unfortunately you probably don't get the money from insurance for the mods =/.

If my car ever got stolen, they better make sure its in pieces cause i dont that **** half assed and not totaled. I'm with all-state and they cover aftermarket parts as long as you have a receipt.
