April 30, 9am, I have an appointment for a tune at Moore Automotive. We'll see how it goes.

So that means install day for me next weekend

Roccer, are you on board with that? Or depending on what else is going on it may happen behind Delcoline.

Oh snap... forgot about our little... "issue"...

Shooting from the hip with my thoughts (as I normally do), here is my current feeling : Loyalty should be rewarded. Patio + Bar service should be achievable.

Bought a (new to me) car so I might show up since I like driving it so much. I bought an 08 Infiniti G35x FYI and I still have the WRX but its parked until I feel like cleaning it or fixing the body damage (I hate driving a busted looking car).

This.

Bonus: We don't disrupt the patio parties... We can just catch the eye candy later!

my opinion on this topic is as follows:

we are among the most consistent customers clyde's has. we bring new customers with great frequency.
in every other establishment, customers learn who their favorite service person is and invariably go to them. location is irrelevant.
if the outdoor servers have a problem, they can take it up with clyde's.
if clyde's wishes then to insist we go inside if we want to be served by lee and matt, we can stop being patrons.

what i'm saying is, i think as good and as long lasting of customers we are, i think we deserve special treatment. we pay an extra $5 per beer to have someone pour it into a glass for us. you're ****ing right i'm gonna sit outside with a clear conscience.

As I stated before, Lee and Matt ONLY get my money, nobody else...

If that means being banned from the patio, so be it. I know those servers are not going to serve me like our boys....

So I'll see you guys inside tonight...

Bingo. I'll start inside. Not only because of allergies, but also my strong ties with our guys behind the bar.

To be quite honest, I don't have a problem tipping a server... but... It's a hassle waiting for a table, and we are there during a rather busy hour for the business crowd. Plus, I don't mind walking to the bar for refills and my food.

Difference being that Clyde's is a business. We are good customers, sure, but it's not like us not showing up for the patio when it's busy is going to mean anything...

So yeah, I'd like to make it somewhat official we start inside like always, eat, then go outside to hang out with our beers when it's a little less crowded out there.

As it gets hotter, it'll be easier for us to snag a table. Don't worry.

Roccer, are you on board with that? Or depending on what else is going on it may happen behind Delcoline.
That's awesome man! What size turbo did you end up getting (sorry if it was stated earlier)? What boost/ how much power are you going to shoot for? Stock internals?

Good luck!

No offense, but "we" are a small, small % of what Clydes makes. Trust me. We may deserve some "special treatment", like good manners or quicker service, etc, but we don't deserve/ have the right to screw over the servers working out on the patio. And we dont bring new customers with great frequency. LOL. We go there once a week and there is between 4-10 people. When I've gone there as a work function (I work next door at SAIC), we drop hundreds of dollars and tip over 30%. I'd be willing to bet that ONE of my work functions of 15-20 people produces more tips than our thursday meets do in at least 3 months.

I work at a bar (barback/ bouncer, so this situation doesn't affect me, but I see often) on the weekends and there are always those disgruntled, self centered guests that threaten "Oh, I'll never be back here again!". Oh, cool, great! The $20 you spend here every other week (and 10% tip, LOL) is really going to take a toll on us.

The other way us sitting on the patio but ordering from the bar is not cool is because the servers lose that table. That's their source of income, and we are taking it from them (for 3+ hours during thier busier time and most of us dont even eat, so even less $ from tips). How would YOU like it if YOU were that server and we sat in your area but went to the bar? Now YOU go home with over $100 less than usual and can't pay a bill, or go out with your friends, etc.

We ARE regulars. So, we should have some decency and acknowledge/ respect the entire staff; just like they do us.

So, do what you want, but I'll be inside until the outside clears out.

Treat people the way you'd like to be treated. And when someone stoops below you, be the bigger person. Respect. Do I really have to repeat stuff that we all learned as kids?
