I know I'm wanting to focus more on chassis stiffening over making more power, so these parts appeal to my goals.

Sticky tires necessitate chassis stiffening. I can feel the drivetrain jump on every throttle modulation.

Good point. I'm set on MPSS tires. Now I'm just deciding on how wide I want my wheels. Researching.

I hate to admit it since I got skinny wheels, but I think as wide as Jive looks amazing.

They may look amazing, but I'm having a hard time justifying it otherwise. I'm not really wanting "ultimate grip". Plus roads are so crappy in Alaska that I couldn't get away with a set-up like that.

In case any of the rest of you guys want GT-86 red parts for cheaper than what I've put into it so far, I plan on getting this kit eventually since I'll get the brake handle, steering wheel and shift knob, too:

$900

It's $770 if you get the kit without the parking brake handle. Automatic BRZ get the same kits, just slightly discounted.

... is your front lip paint-matched already? That might look pretty slick. I'd paint-match, but I think I'll give the gloss black a chance for a bit.

I really want to see a full kit paint-matched.

I think the STi side skirts would look good half painted. Meaning, just paint the top and leave the "step" black, along the lines of the chargespeed, etc kits. Maybe the same for the spats.

Someone buy me the kit. kthxbye

No, lip can stay black IMO.

Really like that look. Also considering the unpainted TRD side skirts as they're a good $150-200 cheaper. There's nothing on the STI side skirts that look like they're "meant" to flow with the corners of the front lip, so I don't think it will look bad...but I've never seen a TRD skirt in person.

The TRD skirt is my favorite. Was thinking TRD skirt with STI front lip and STI rear spats or TRD rear bumper.

Default Aftermarket flywheel that works with stock clutch

Hey guys,

I'm new to the forums and have been doing some research on flywheels. Since i'm at Denver altitude i've really been wanting to lighten up some rotational parts (Flywheel, driveshaft, wheels, etc.). One thing I was looking for was a flywheel that will work with the stock clutch (it's a new clutch and since i don't plan on doing any motor work for a really long time there's no point in me replacing it quite yet).

This was a hint that i got from Exedy since they make the stock clutch. We can use part number FF502 with the BRZ and it works with the stock clutch.

I just wanted to share this in case anyone else was in the same boat as me. I originally purchased an ACT flywheel (not a huge fan of ACT, but figured the streetlite would work with stock clutch).. after talking to ACT they informed me that it would NOT work!

Guess if I would have looked at a picture of this one compared to the ACT I would have also realized they are WAY different!

ACT is utter garbage. Granted I am talking clutches and pressure plates but still exedy on the other hand I love. I have run them on my bugeye, 240, and altima. All of which were driven extremely hard, yet streetable. I had a stage 3 ACT in my 240 and I hated it. I just threw it out when the motor went.

I don't think I like the blinkers...probably going to go with painted stockers.

I'm not crazy about them either, but I'm going to grab these eventually anyways. I love the design. I figure I can maybe cut them open and insert an LED tube replacement of some sort. Not quite sure, but the design is simple enough for me to see it as a possbility.

No clue why they went with tiny individualized lights instead of a smoother-looking LED flow.

Not that it has anything to do with the lights, but I like the wheels.

The GReddy SP Elite is looking like a worthy exchange over the STI Sports Muffler. It's not new, I just think I like it for half the price of the STI one, although I still think the STI might be better quality.

Annnnd STI:

Mmmmm yes please.
