Default Knoxville- Power window help

2000 Subaru impreza 2.5rs

Hey guys. So yesterday I rolled down my window (driver side) and at the very bottom gave this horrible grinding noise. I rolled it back up and then down again with the same results. I was like **** this can't be good so I rolled it up all the way but it stopped in the middle. Now it won't budge at all.

I'm thinking it has to be the motor obviously. Could it be the regulator as well? I got it checked out and they said it's best to replace it as a system. Thing is, they charged me over 300$ for the kit (not a dealership). So I'm luck damn.
I asked them if there's a way to manually prop up the window for the time being and they said the only way is to unhook it from the motor and tape it up. I feel like there has to be a way.

Does anyone happen to have a spare motor laying around? I know it's a long shot but worth a try. Or anyone willing to help me get this window up for the time being? I attend UTK and don't have my tools up here (well, the bare minimum).

I was thinking about going to the pull apart as well and maybe source a motor if there are any subies at the yard, but we will see.

Please, I need help!
Thanks so much!

We've got an unofficial garage with nearly every tool needed to work on a Subaru but no motors to think of. Check out www.knoxsubies.com

Hm. Where is it located?
Does anyone know if I can roll up my window manually for the time being?

I would plastic it up for Wednesday just as a temporary fix. Just as Armyofcase said, we have an unofficial garage here. PM him if you haven't already. Btw, I never see any other subies here at UTK!! I drive the lifted Yellow Bugeye with the RallyCross banner across the front windshield.

If you are in search of a motor, Jonathan at City Limit Motors might have one.
