Default wrx sti 3rd brake light hatch

i recently bought an sti hatch wing for my 08 wrx and i was wondering if i have to splice the connections on the brake light since the ends are not the same

1) Hopefully your 08 WRX is also a hatch, otherwise that could mean more than just splicing a few wires.
2) I would imagine the bulbs are the same wattage, so should have the same draw/amps/etc.
3) When you say "the ends are not the same", you mean the connectors from the new hatch to the wiring from the existing car don't have the same connector type? If so, then you have 2 options. Jam it together to make it fit... Or splice/solder them.

yea its also a hatch. the sti spoiler has 2 connections and the existing wires only have 1 and they are different and wont fit the new spoiler. im thinking i can just cut off the old wrx spoiler connection and splice them together?
