2500 miles on it so far, loving it so much. No knock at all. I'll tell you, it's totally worth it!

Update:

Mileage: 4100

Since I was getting some rock chips on my front bumper, I decided to apply 3m™ paint defender spray film, 90000 on the whole front bumper. Two days in the sun so far, the film is definitely invisible 5 feet away. I am a happy customer so far for this product.

The can:

What it would look like if you peel it off. I used one full can for my whole front bumper, about 6-7 coats.

Edit: Updated infos.

3M film: I found myself having harder time washing dirt off the film, the film got more of a rubber texture so the washing cloth got quiet alot of fiction with the bumper as I wash it. I find myself liking and hating it, so far there's no new chips or anything from my 700 miles trip recently. People ask me to take a picture of what the film looks like when I peel it off, I took the film off my lip and took a picture.

It's worth the wait! I ordered my mid Jan and they gave me an ETA of May but the WRX arrived last week of February, I guess I was just so lucky

Not on the can I believe, but I washed the car like how I normally do (soap rinse etc), still looks the same as day one. I once a while forget that it's there haha.

In for a very brief review for the clear film:

About two weeks so far with the film on, no new chips are visible, from 5 feet you cant see the film at all. I love it but there's always an love/hate relationship between stuffs.

The thing I do not like is how it's little sticky and makes it harder to wash the dirt off the film. It's like your washing material would have more friction on the film so it's not as smooth as the areas that does not have film on.

Side note: Exhaust ordered. Will have pictures when it arrives!

Some new updates:

Mileage: 5300

3M film: I found myself having harder time washing dirt off the film, the film got more of a rubber texture so the washing cloth got quiet alot of fiction with the bumper as I wash it. I find myself liking and hating it, so far there's no new chips or anything from my 700 miles trip recently. People ask me to take a picture of what the film looks like when I peel it off, I took the film off my lip and took a picture.

Exhaust: Just got my exhaust yesterday, everything looks great, I originally wanted a burnt tip version but it was discontinued so I went ahead and got the silver tips. They look great, will be installing them today. More pictures to come, one for now.

Shift Knob: I've been looking for a knob for months and finally went to a local Subaru performance shop and saw this knob on some glass shelf and tried it, loving it so much so far. A picture of it, again, will post better ones later on.

LED interior conversion: I started my LED conversion inside my car, I had a LED laying around and went to see if it would fit in my dome light and it did, didn't see it at night time yet but I've had LED inside my last few cars and I love it.

Got my TurboXS Exhaust last Friday and installed it on Saturday, man I love that thing. Started up for the first time and was just what I was expecting, it's not too loud or quiet. Just right. Really pleased with the results so far, not much drone at highway speeds. On to pictures and some videos.

Comparison between the OEM and TurboXS exhaust

Yep front and rear bushing are in now. My friend who works at a Subaru Performance shop drove my WRX and he said it's one of the best shifter combo he have ever felt.

Kartboy short shifter, front and rear bushings, with monster ball knob. Shifts short and sweet.

Some more updates: Had alot stuffs laying around from my old Subaru, decided to use them on the new Subaru and finally got them installed.

Stuffs that were done:
Hella Horns with DIY bracket and wiring
Black Calipers and rotors
Front WRX Debadge
Red Pin-stripes
Washed all wheels/inner wells

I'll let the pictures do all of the talking.

Hey... Did you already have the factory "short throw" before you changed to the kart boy? I can see the difference in heights but I'm wondering what you had before.

Thanks... Also please PM incase I can't find thread again thanks

No I did not have the factory short throw. It was just the stock shifter before I swapped to the kartboy shifter. Sent you a PM.

Ha I get this question alot, those two cars are both great, there are times when I drive the WRX, I want to drive the MS3, times when I drive the MS3, I want to drive the WRX. I tell you, those two cars are two different cars eventho they look somewhat similar.

Key features of the MS3: Better looking interior, 6 speed, quick from a roll, most responsive to mods, somewhat more cargo space, sound system is way better, and a few more, the MS3 got 99K miles now but still runs good, a few issues with the A/C compressor but other than that, regular maintenances are the other expenses. The torque steering in the MS3 is one of my favorite thing, many people hate it but it makes me feel more connected to the car, the WRX just pushes me around instead of pulling me.

Key features of the WRX: It's brand new ha, AWD, Premium features (heated seats, moonroof, and heated wipers), and that it's a Subaru. I had it ordered so I got most of what I wanted in a car so that is the key where I love my WRX more. In winters, I dont enjoy driving the MS3 at all, I had a 06 Impreza before the MS3 and I knew what AWD with snow tires were like in snow, MS3 just basically SUCKED with snow tires and such.

I was looking at the '13 MS3 when I was looking at the WRX, the '13 MS3 is a nice car but didn't impress me much, I like the old gen MS3 more than the new gen. There are features on the new MS3 that I wished the WRX had. You got to go and drive those two cars, you cant really compare them, it will be either one of them that would make you love it way more than the other choice.
