Question Legacy 6spd Trans Swap

I have a 2000 Subaru Legacy GT Limited with a 2.5 L and a five speed manual transmission. I would like to swap the 5mt for a six speed manual. Is this possible and if so where can I find one? What modifications will need to be done? And what price range am I looking at? My main goal is to get rid of the slipping in fifth gear and reverse and get better gas mileage so I figured this option might be more reasonable.

If your slipping in 5th it is the clutch and not the trans.

You're likely looking at costs that exceed the value of the car.

Words of wisdom. OP have you even tried to isolate the problem with your 5th gear/reverse slipping? Or are you on a one track mind for this swap?
