Nope. I'm not doing a normal Vmount setup. I got the idea off a Subaru WRC car.

Started pulling the wiring and hoses out of the engine bay. Still need to work on the radiator mounts before I can pull the motor.

Also started to shave the engine bay.

Worked on the radiator.

My three hour tape job.

Painted red.

Finished.

Painted the radiator bracket for the V-mount. I only painted WRB what will be visible due to the cost of it, plus it gave me a chance to practice my fading.

All bolted together.

Got the panels welded to shave the bay with the help of grantLGT.

Are you at all worried about flex and fiberglass cracking?

Not too worried. The fiberglass is really thin, I used super thick sheet metal, and with the Vmount in there's no flex. Plus I used fiberglass because its a little more flexible then bondo. I do want to pick up a strut bar for the front to keep the strut towers from flexing though.

this all looks great! were you able to match the paint color to the rest of the car? What is your plan to keep the engine from being scratched during re-assembly?
