Buy the 2014 and if you didn't like it then sell it and buy 2015 when it comes out! there's no point of getting opinions as of right now since the specs of both years are still unknown!

True. It seems like it will be easier to sell a 2014 if you really like the 2015 than it would be to find a used 2014 if you don't like the 2015.

I'm looking forward to the 2018 when they get the GTR V6 from their merger with Nissan.

Either buy one now or wait 2-3 years for a car without less trouble. Simple as that. And grumpy people you will find them everywhere. Just ask what you need and read the helping answers and disregard the rest. My best advice DON'T START A THREAD ASKING FOR SOMETHING. Find your local city thread and ask there or thread jacking and move on. Way easier to go by a forum. If you make a threa, they will hunt you down and hang you by your twins. Not good. HOPE you follow my advice. Peace and love everyone. Going back to my cave.

jk... I love you guys.

rule of thumb - never by the first year of a car. wait..like 10 years, then buy one.

Not sure i buy this theory that so many are big on. I have a 2003 G35 which was its first year, and besides typical maintenance it has given nearly zero problems. I had my first failed part at 162,000 miles two months ago when the throttle body went bad, 10 years into the car's life. It's been rock solid.

Or you can buy cars within your means. Put down a lot of money and buy something you can easily/fairly easily make the payments for. Buying new is a very good thing.

Just because you get approved for a loan to purchase a car doesn't mean you can afford it...

Wait so do people become children or idiots? Its not really fair to call children idiots as they have not been on this earth long enough for you to justify pointing out their lack of intelligence.

If you are creating a debate on two models (one of which we do not know about), it is wise for you to state what you already know about the cars and then we can discuss your points thoroughly.

(here comes the idiotic child in me) BUT NOOOOOOOO, you started this joke of a thread as if you thought you were Edison inventing some new idea to discuss.

You came in and asked a stupid question then threw insults at people giving you stupid answers. What did you expect? Your question lacked no knowledge of either comparing factors and was stated so childishly (oh theres that word again) that you decided to hide behind your own stupidity by calling others childish and idiotic.

please refine your original question and include examples of the pros and cons. Oh, and if you didn't catch on, people are making fun of you because there isn't much info on the 2014 let alone the 2015.

Behold the crux of the situation!

It's entertaining to me that people get so bent out of shape when the question asked ends up stirring a lot of less than desired responses. Yes there is a certain anonymity in discussion online, but I am certain this question asked in the wrong group of people would net a massive paint balling of the OP's gentleman's sausage.

A better way to word the question would be,

"Has anyone been fortunate enough to hear any information on the changes expected for the 2014 or even 2015 WRX and STI?"

Most likely, the response would be, " No, sadly not yet, but we are excited to hear more!"

Just a thought.
