well sounds like my 02 is still "just a baby"
but just last week it hit 100,000 mi

the car is stock, and i bought her used about 6 years ago

i even drove her from CA bay area up north to Washington (where i lived for 2 years) THEN drove her BACK to CA with a trailer full of my junk (and preformed admirably).

you can see i had alot of weight because of how much lower the rear wheel wheel well is..

i wanted a 04-05 but i love my 02

you have to host your pictures somewhere else... photobucket, flickr, etc etc...

then use the IMG code:

[IMG] URL of your image [/IMG]

most photo hosting sites will give you the link with IMG code already with it so you can copy and paste, if not just copy the URL of the image and type the rest of it out.

I would do it as soon as possible and by someone who can do it right. You don't know how the vehicle was driven for 93K mi. I would do it every 75K mi to be safe. You can never really tell when to replace it unless you start to hear something but you wouldn't want to wait until then anyway. One wrong thing with the timing belt and you could be left rebuilding the engine. Make sure you have the idler pulleys replaced too while you're at it. A lot of shops only do a visual inspection and don't replace it. Surprisingly, you will find many threads on here about people spinning that bearing. It's an inexpensive piece that will save you thousands. My ride had about 155K on it before that bearing spun and snapped the timing belt busting a couple other pulleys and bent all the valves. I had a local shop replace the timing belt around 110K mi and they did not replace the idler pulley that failed. They put on a shiny bright timing belt guide on though so the carnage looked pimped out!

This is great advice ^^ just did all the belts including timing with the idler pullies etc on my ej207 that came in and all belts were mint w only 40k on the whole engine. But did it all while it was out by recommendation of my shop. Glad I did and ill do every 75 k also just to be safe

Also, the belt is over 10 years old now. You're technically supposed to replace it based on a time interval too... a belt from say 30 years ago that only has 50k miles on it very well can snap too.

Get it done ASAP! Replace all pulleys too. Come to think of it, I've never seen a belt actually snap or come apart by itself. 90% of the time, it's the pulleys or tensioner, causing it to slip... or causing it to rub and deteriorate. But a new belt would do the same with those pulleys.

He was probably trying to go 77 mph too. Otherwise he was speeding for no good reason. Hahaha

Your fuel gauge was almost 77% full too!

He probably was actually going 77 since our speedos read 2mph fast.
I know that my GPS always reads 2mph slower than my speedo and is more accurate.
