Thanks Justin!

How many miles do you have on the '04 now?! Glad you are still enjoying it!

I'm going to spend some money on this one and probably keep it for awhile. It's a really great car!

I still have the picture you texted to me awhile back of the car after you got wheels, put the STI scoop and splitters on. Looked great!

I'm about to hit 111,000 soon, and it's running great! It's changed a little since then and looking to do a little "overhaul" in the spring. Hopefully, I'll be picking up a new WRX sometime next year also.
Here is a quick picture from the parkway:

Fully agree pumpkyn!

I've had the car for four weeks this Friday and it has been a blast so far. Just received my Super Shift Kit from TiC today and will be putting that in this weekend. Should make gear changes much more enjoyable

Nice looking hatch, I didn't realize that they're using a different silver than a few years before, looks much darker than spark silver.

I'm on the TP stage 1 and I love it, but make sure you replace the throttle body to intercooler hose with a good aftermarket silicone one, the OE is terrible and will most likely blow off and leak when you go stage 1.

Thanks for the compliment and tip on the TBH rolling_!

I'm a huge fan of most silver variations; but I really do love the ISM. Looks like a slate type color in the right light. Really nice!

Here's another shot from today Russ..sorry for the delay!

Yesterday's project below - Kartboy STS and TiC 5mt Wide Pivot Bushings:

I have the remainder of TiC's 08+ Impreza Super Shift Set; but ran out of time before dinner due to a late start. So far; just the addition of the STS and pivot bushings are a vast improvement over the stock set-up and I cant wait to add the remainder of the bushings to the driveline.

Lastly; one new shot from today that I really liked. Next up is to mount my winter tires on the stock wheels, get through the holiday season and begin to collect more mods

Looks good! Did Subaru change the dash trim back to silver? I thought it was black for the '11+.

Also another vote for the TP maps! Had the stage 2 map now running the stage 3 map and loving it!

Thanks Greg!

Must have went back to Silver for the dash trim; at least on the base model as you can see in the pics.

I do believe I will be going with the TP Stage 1 after they Cobb develops the software for the 2013 and when TP gets maps up for the 2013. I'm very excited

Nice color choice. I love the silver, it really shows off the body lines.
Agreed! I went AEM stage 1 with the OTS maps and it was a good upgrade. I called up Eric and asked a few questions. Purchased his tune right after talking to him. Love it! TP stage 1 really wakes the car up and gives it nice linear power. Should have came this way from the manufacturer.

As for OP, good looking car. Silver hatch respect

A reflash to an upgraded map from Cobb, Torqued Performance, etc. Typically performed via a Cobb AccessPort, ot Tactrix Cable.

Thanks man; definitely going with the TP Stage 1 after getting the AP. Probably won't happen until after Christmas now...lol.

Default Weather tech

Theansr,

Hey there. Congrats on the new WRX. I just got my 2013 hatch last week and am loving it as well. I was wanting to get the weather tech digital liners but I see that they don't have one for the 13's. I assume that you got the 2012 liners? If so, do they fit ok? Did you get the ones for the back as well? Thanks in advance!

Kids - Thanks and congrats to you as well. You are going to love the car!

I did indeed order the liners for the 2012 model. Be sure to order the ones specifically for the WRX. I ordered a set of Husky Liners first for the 2013 Impreza and the way the description read; it made it sound as though they would fit all models, but, the standard Impreza's interior is quite a bit different.

The only issue I have with the Weather Tech's are the driver's side doesn't lay flat behind the pedals. That's just nitpicking though as it isn't noticeable unless you have your feet up under the pedals stretching on a long cruise or something like that. I did order the liner for the rear seat as we have two Dachshunds who will, eventually, ride in the car...

Great! Thanks for the info. Heading over to their site to order right now. Peace.

Talking First snow!

Central PA finally received a decent amount of snow (8-12 inches), so, went out to see how the new girl would do. Performed great, though I like the Dunlop Graspics much better than the Blizzaks I purchased for this Winter. I'll probably make the switch next year.

Only need to purchase a set of RCE Black Springs and I will be ready to assemble my Koni/RCE/OEM suspension set-up

Hope everyone else in the area is having a good time!

I like this car alot. I always wanted a WRB wagon and never found one in good enough shape so ended up picking up a 2012. Do it and don't look back, its tons of fun!

Default Wheels/Suspension - 05/01/13

Got my wheels and suspension installed yesterday as well as the remaining bits from the TiC 2008+ Super Shift Kit. Car feels MUCH more stable and planted and shifts beautifully!

Wheels - XXR527 - 17x8.25 +35
Tires - Dunlop SP Sport 01 - 235/45/17
Suspension - Konis, 2010 Front Donor Struts, RCE Black Springs

1. - Front Wheel Profile

2. - Rear Wheel Profile

3 - Front Wheel Fill

4 - Rear Wheel Fill

5 - Close Shot

6 - Distance Shot (my new favorite!)

This set-up is perfect for my needs. The suspension is what I consider to be a sweet spot both visually and from a performance perspective and the wheels fill out the wells enough that I don't have the sunken look, I was able to achieve this without fender work and I retained the stock tire size. This is exactly what I need

John - the GroupN Trans mount added a substantial amount of NVH when first installed. So much so that within the first 500-750 miles after install I contemplated reinstalling the OEM part. I decided to give it a bit longer of a "wear in" period and it calmed down a bit.

There is obviously still an increase in NVH but shifts felt firmer and engagement more precise. Now that it is coupled with the TiC 2008+ Super Shift Kit shifts are amazing. I've read many good things regarding adding a weighted shift knob to help with engagement as well and will be adding one in the near future as the last piece of this puzzle. It's amazing how much slop has been taken out of the driveline with the Mount and SS Kit.

Default One Year Anniversary

Celebrated a year with the WRX as of 10/12/2013! She saw just over 15,000 miles in her first year and was a joy for every one of them! Suspension will be going back in soon, XXRs are sold and I will be looking to pick-up 17x9 Mach V Awesomes, or Enkei RPF1s in the near future.

Went ahead and got ready for Winter with a wash, wax and seal and also ordered the TP Stage 1 (and 2) flash package and loaded Stage 1 today. Went for a quick ride and attempted the datalog, but, it didn't connect correctly and I ended up with no data... Will try again tomorrow, but, the car feels as though it has more power in the low to mid-range.

Next up will be the new set of wheels and a turbo-back set-up that I am still trying to decide on, but, currently leaning towards a full TurboXS set-up.
