First of all, 06 wrx wheels are not gunmetal. They are silver.

Secondly, take a minute to google "gunmetal plastidip". You will find it is more of a primer grey with a slight hint of blue.

looks awesome! I love matte finish. Some say it's boring, but I think seeing the same thing over and over is boring.

Not a fan of the spare wheel look, but looks like a good job man. How tough is that stuff, how many layers did you do?

If you're ever in the mood for a change, check out the metalizers, glossifier, and pearlizer. Pretty neat finishes that can completely change the lool and even feel.

I painted my wheels that same color.

I like it so much, that I'm going to be removing it from the wheels because I'm painting my entire GM that color. Here's a sample of the areas I sprayed to get a feel for the color:

How long does the plastidip last when the whole exterior of the car is done?

The Plasti-Dip is only $6 a can and you can get it at Lowes and Home Depot or you can order it on DipYourCar.com. The exterior will last through the weather and even through a car wash. It wont peel off until you peel it off. I would suggest using at least 3 coats. I did 5 coats on my rims and it looks nice. 1 can did 2 rims, so i used 2 cans for all my rims. Best thing about it is......If you dont like it or you mess up, just peel it off.

13-rex beat me too it... I had a reply all typed out then my computer decided to poop on me before i could hit post ahhh..

Wheels-- i used 3 full cans and about 7 coats. just make sure you move your car multiple times so you don't miss any spots. I moved my car like 3 or so times. I actually followed smurfin wrx dude from youtube

As for the roof--- The pictures do look better than in person. It is difficult to spray an even coat on the roof because you are spraying downward and it is easy to get impatient. The finish will have lines in it. But for 15 dollars, it is a neat project. I will try and get a picture of my roof that shows what it looks like more in person.

Durability-- I first used 2 cans on the roof and may or may not ripped a hole in it with my pressure washer (got a little to close with 2500 psi). Had to patch the area and so it is kind of ghetto. It now has 3 cans on it and takes the abuse of the pressure washer. As for the wheels, i read a few places to get 5 coats. I think the definition of "coats" can be different. Just make sure you use 3 cans. I beat the heck out of my wheels with my pressure washer and they are doing great.

Matte finish--- You can buy a glossifier from dipyourcar.com but its a bit more expensive due to shipping and all.

A can costs about 7 bucks at Home Depot or Lowes. To get the custom colors check out dipyourcar.com
