The "weekly" b-dubs meets haven't happened in over a year. All the regulars got a little too busy or a little too far away. I'm not sure if they still do the east-side meets, but they had been going to Joe Kool's in Troy every other Monday.

Is it legal to sell? I thought the gov't came looking for it once or twice because it needed to be impounded and crushed.

Technically speaking it can't or shouldn't be sold. The whole liability issue for selling things not up to safety code for road use. You and/or your dad could be sued by a future owner if they were to wreck it and get injured.

You would probably be better off selling various parts (engine) for those who want to do some form of swap. The body should be turned in for scrap and crushed for the sake of safety and liability.

See above. Not necessarily worth the risk. Cool car, but not quite legal.

I would totally risk it. Could always register it as a kit car "not for highway use" especially if you buy a pile of parts and put it together yourself.

and the govt has stopped seizing skylines, mostly because it's getting damn close to the 20 year limit.

All I know of is the usually Friday night and Saturday night meet ups at Woodward around 14 mile. Usually a really good crowd there.

Looking to replace struts on the WRX, but I would rather not put the Prodrive springs back on. I think it has to do with crappy Michigan roads or me getting older that the stock suspension setup really was OK the whole time
Does anyone have stock 02-05 sedan springs they want to get out of the garage/basement/closet?

Might try shooting a PM to faster_gun. Not sure what stuff he has lying around in various garages at his parents' houses. You could also shoot a message to JR Briggs on facebook. He might have some springs among all the random parts that never went into the never-ending "rally" car build.

FWIW, stock suspension is quite sufficient in MI. I put my WRX back to stock struts and springs before selling it. I slotted the front strut towers to get more negative camber and maintained the 24mm swaybars. I was never happier driving the car. Comfy for DD, but still sporty enough for fun.

Thanks, Brad.

Thats about where I am with the WRX now. If I want a bumpy ride, I will drive the STi.

Want some '04 STi springs in like new condition? Came off the car with like 3-4k miles and been in a box since. Let them go for $75 picked up out by Metro airport.

Heh, never thought of that. Thanks for the input.

No sedan springs here, wagon springs galore!

Different spring rates due to the added weight of the wagon.

^yup. Not a lot of companies make a wagon-specific spring and when you put sedan springs on a wagon you end up with what they call "saggy butt". The rear springs sag a bit more under the additional weight of the wagon. You have to use some spacers to raise the rear end back up.

So putting wagon springs on a sedan would likely do the opposite. You'll end up with a higher ride height in the rear.

Just a heads up

Cars, coffee, and karts at Kart 2 Kart in Sterling Heights, Saturday June 1st 8am-11.

Tons of automobile enthusiast come out.
Everything from Lambo's and Ferrari's to 1980's RHD toyota's and Honda's

Address:
42705 Van Dyke Ave Sterling Heights, MI 48314

They have medium size parking lot that fills up quick so a couple of us other subie guys parked up on the lawn last month and might just make that AWDsome parking from the start this time.

I created a community event on Google+ if any of you guys are on there.
