I live breathe and eat ea82's, but i don't find them around anymore. Still my favorite soob. I got an 86 GL coupe with xt6 5lugs, dual range RX trans with LSD, and 01 impreza ej22. I found it in my hometown for 300 bucks, and have decided to keep it forever. 1st generation legacy is my preferred ride if i can't get onto another ea82.

Got an 88 RX 4-door. That thing is fun when its running right. Whoever said replace the timing belts religiously....well I just drive them til they break and replace them on the side of the road. No interferance FTW lol. I keep spare belts and tensioners in my trunk.

As someone who's always been a diehard lover of English sports cars and Volvos, I really like the older Subaru, and I love the GL, despite trying to diagnose a recurring problem with not starting after running for a while.

i've owned every body style of the '84-era subarus, first a 87 hatch, then an 84 wagon, now an 87 brat. they're the only cars i've ever owned, all light blue(not on purpose but i do like that color). I would trade the brat for a hatch in similar shape but brats have been better taken care of for the most part...[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG]

Time for a photobomb!
Been meaning to do this for a while now. Everyone of these I have previously owned. There were many more that were parts cars and were stripped and sent to Subaru heaven.

My very first Subaru around 1990 - a 82 GLF.

It was almost all I owned after that.
84 Turbo Coupe. I owned 3 of them and have another currently (project car).

And the ultimate coupe - a convertible.

I've owned 3 EA81 Hatches, 2 were lifted.

A couple of Brats thrown in for good measure.

The XT/XT6's.

A few wagons here and there.
This is a 86 Turbo GL10 I got for free.

I know these arent GL's but they're still old school, I've also had 3 SVX.

And the one I've been working on for several years.
My 89 RX.

When I first got it.

Its under gone many stages and changes, but this is how it sits right now.
(Yes, it still needs body work)

Those are impossible to find new. Junkyards or the old Skool forums are your best bet. Older loyales of the same era had similar fronts.
