Default Engine & drivetrain question

I have a question about the newer chassis gr8. I bought a blown 2011 wrx & i was thinking about putting a wrx motor out of the gd chassis into it. What would I have to do?Also has anybody else tried this yet?

It will physically fit and bolt up...but some things to look into
1. 2.0 vs 2.5
2. ACVS heads (wiring and control)
3. secondary air pump connected to heads (08+)
minor other changes

Yes it is possible...but not a direct swap

Why depreciate the value of the car when the motors cost the same, unless you're buying used. In that case, it's your gamble. Financially a bad decision.
Oh, I see your location....makes sense now.

Check your local laws. I know that where I live, I can't put in an older gen engine into a newer car.
