If you wan to replace your intake manifold, throttle body, and turbo...then yes, an STI TMIC will fit.

I'm guessing he has a friend who went to a fmic on his STi and so he can save $7 buying the top mount from his friend rather than buying parts new for his WRX.

Keep your stock one. Clearly you don't have a turbo upgrade that would allow you to take advantage of a larger intercooler, even if it's a top mount.

However, if you do like the STI logo on it, many people use stencils on their stock ones. This is a better option actually and I wouldn't consider it too 'ricey'.

Do the 2013's still have the plastic end caps? if so, an aftermarket top mount may be a good early upgrade in your path for more power.
That being said, the vf52 does fairly well with a front mount (if you plan on doing a larger turbo upgrade where a front mount may be more beneficial.) this way you won't have to purchase an aftermarket intercooler twice.

Good luck!
