Hello! I'm a proud owner of a 2006 silver WRX.

It is a little bit different from this PIC right now, but anyway.

The STI badge is already gone, so is the invidia sticker and the carbon fiber ploting arround the door. I'll soon make a topic with more pics and details about the car.

@Thiago13Sti: Not really wanting flames, just wanted to find and share some more info about this nice project, it looks like it has 2 maps, one with about 700HP and another one with 1000HP.

You must be misreading something...with stock turbo and no FMIC?

Impossible.

Edit: You must be talking about the video.

According to the dyno image at the end it says 650hp..he probably running a cosworth stroked engine with the kaps dogbox tranny...1000hp seems way off

The full story: When I saw that car for the first time on the internet I was a bit skeptical, then a couple of months latter I had the opportunity to see it in person, it really looked well built, I also heard about the cosworth stroker engine, I'm not sure what's the turbo but it sure was HUGE.

The owner gave me and a couple of friends a quick ride, that gear box is just sick. I've riden/driven quite a few times a 997 turbo S, and have done some launch controls in it (which tests claims it can make 0-60 in under 3 seconds), but that STI felt like something of another level.

The owner claims 0-100 km/h in 2.3 seconds and 0-270 km/h in 15 seconds, and having felt the car, I really do no doubt it, there was traction all the time and the torque was just insane.

My main doubt is really about those number, I've heard many people saying it is a 1000BHP car and others questioning that.

Anyway, regardless of being a 700 or 1000 car, it is a beatiful and powerful machine!

Sure is a beautiful machine just that gearbox I think costs around 20k? Plus easily another 20k on the motor lol. It for sure dont have 1000hp tho around 650 for sure should get 0-60 in around 3 secs depending on traction on the video looks like hes still running stock wheels so I dont see 8.5 wide wheels providing traction for 2.3 secs...some of the old ford cosworth rally cars did 2.3 secs 0-60. By the way man im from sao paulo but I live in texas now.

He's not on stock wheels anymore, he's using: Volk TE37 18x9,5" with Toyos R888 275/30ZR18 and even on high RPMs on first gear it didn't look like he was having any traction issues.

Honestly I want to know more about this car. I want that KAPS transmission soooo bad. Who the heck puts 40k into a 35k car with just a transmission and engine right from the get-go? Is he a Saudi Arabian prince? lol

Honestly, I want me some KAPS. One day....
