Thanks!

I most likely can. Not sure when I'm heading up/coming back yet though.

Edit: Does anyone know if there's a rallycross on Sunday this year? I assumed their was, but now that I started looking I can't find anything about it

I'll be leaving at the crack of dawn Saturday morning from the Lancaster area. If anyone running the rally wants pictures, I'll be shooting again this year.

My friend and I are on the way home now. We had a great time and the weather was awesome.

This year we mixed it up. We decided to forgoe the spectator spots and we decided to watch from some secret locations. The governing body for stpr (and the state I assume) keep reducing the spectator points, pushing the tape back and removing the best viewing points. This has been an ongoing process for 5 or 6 years now. There was a huge 180 degree turn up by painter that was mega popular because it was fast and exciting. They let you sit right there on the side of the road. I have some incredible footage of it. They removed it several years ago in favor or slow, drawn out turns.

The best turn last year was twelve mile but this year they pushed everyone way back off the road side to where you're standing way back in the grass.

So this year we just put on our boots and hiked into the woods. The first spot we found was actually a local favorite but the people there before us were sloppy and got busted by dcnr because they got tailed in. So we had to hike back out. Later we made our own path and found a beautiful, fast, s curve away from anyone. No locals, no rangers, nothing. I finally felt like I was watching a rally instead of slow corners that now make up every single spectator area.

STPR is one of the faster, more technical courses in rally America and we finally found a way to enjoy it to its fullest.

And for those of you staying at Leonard Harrison state park: yes, that was bear last night. It got caught in the bear trap and was trying to pound its way out. I took a peek this morning. Nice lookin bear!

(Note: these are movie scrapes so they don't have any sharp lines...)
