I'm down to go to the next meet off of 200, I was just there last night at Dicks. Saw a white STi today in Hudson on 19, looked stock but sounded really good.

Well I just got news that the kid that bought my WRX has already wrecked it. He totaled it after having it for less than a week. Makes me sick... one less Sonic Yellow bugeye out there.

Well, once I sell a car I tend to not care what happens to it but knowing it was destroyed in one week would suck.

I could use a swap...

FYI Subaru of Ocala has a White 2014 Forester XT with eyesight. Asking $37K and some change. Basically MSRP and they won't budge.

If anything and you're bored, go test drive it. The CVT was actually pretty cool.

Try the Internet manager? You may get better pricing through them even if the normal salesperson won't budge.

They gave me the whole "let me go get my manager bit." Dealership manager basically told me he has the upper hand because they are the only dealership that has one and it takes a while to order one.

I've had this problem arise several times. Generally, I'll work with another dealership in the area to get the price and model I want (they will get via dealer trade if they have to). They'll end up trading the car away from the local dealer and sell you that car for the price you want to pay. I'll leverage that against the local dealer and say "do you really want the other dealer to sell me your car or do you want to make the sale yourself?" If the nonlocal dealer has already agreed on a price for you they'll find you the car that you want. I've done this several times, and it's worked in all but one instance.

YMMV

That's when you go to the other dealer buy do the dealer trade and take it back to original dealer to show them the sale they lost

This is great advice. My problem right now is finding any in stock. My logic though is that if I order one, the dealership should only make a few hundred bucks. The car doesn't have to sit on their lot and its a guaranteed sale.

I like the "Pretty Woman" revenge. My brother actually did that when he bought a 30th anniversary Trans-Am and the originally dealership tried to convince him to buy something else because e looked like he couldn't afford it.

Nope. The RS is staying with me for as long as I can help it. It was my wife's car that got hit and totaled so she gets the new vehicle. I'm just happy she chose the Forester based on test drive and not my influence. XT... my influence.
