Yeah thats the way most do it. I was going to do that too but I'm pretty tall and have my wheel all the way up so the blinker stalk covers the bottom 1/3 of the gauge...Might have to put my boost gauge over there since seeing vacuum isn't as important as seeing oil pressure.

Got my VIN today, projected ETA now is first week of July. It's starting to get really tight because I'm leaving on a road trip on July 3rd, so I'm crossing my fingers. My sales guy keeps trying to tell me that ordered cars (including one STi this month) keep getting in about a week early. I hope he's right.

I just put the SF intake in on Sunday and GOD DAMN it's LOUD. Me and the intake are going through a love-hate relationship right now but I think once I get my catback on it'll even itself out. Today I am in love with the intake and tomorrow I'm sure I'll hate it and want to sell it lmao.
yeah i love the intake, did you get tuned with it? or you have AP?

wait til you get catless dp lol i love it though

I have an AP. I'm prolly gonna do catted though to try and combat boost creep. I heard catless and and intake are a recipe for creep, especially in colder climates like in NY where I'm from. Do you have boost creep at all?

Once I get a downpipe though and all my other little bits and pieces I will be getting a pro tune.

I took my little brother for a ride today to let him hear the intake and when I shifted from first to second I lost all power and my traction light was flashing...I had to let off the gas and go WOT again. I can't believe I broke traction a little and engaged traction control!

Catless is also a recipe for a car that stinks. Stick with the catted DP.

Yeah I know the smell part lol. I don't mind the smell...I just don't want to run into a boost creep issue. I will definitely be going catted though.

Does nobody in this thread know what an ebcs or EWG is? You wanna go catless, invest in one of the two to prevent boost creep.

Of course I know what those are. I'm not looking to do an EWG right away and don't feel like running with boost creep in the middle of the winter when its 10 degrees outside. For now I just want a reliable, mild stage 2 set up until I can buy a daily.

I've been driving an 07 2.5i for about 5 years now. I was a poor college kid and couldnt afford a WRX. I graduated college in December, and have a big boy job now. Decided on purchasing my first brand new car, a 2013 WRX. Yay! Just thought I would share my excitement with you guys.

A decent tune without either will prevent boost creep. Plenty of people run mbc only and have zero issues. You have been in here for the haul and I appreciate that but you do not know what you're talking about here.

You must have a unique car then. I tested mine yesterday on a downhill slope and the hill assist did not engage. It did engage on the same spot going uphill.

Ok so go the ebcs route since its a quarter of the price and you can run catless. And I'm for chicago burbs, so I know what harsh winters are.

Plenty of people run mbc with a pro-tune. Sure after you spend the $100 for the mbc, and whatever a pro-tune is, usually around the $500 mark. He's not trying to build a race car just yet. And even with just a mbc and "decent tune" you will still get boost creep, I know first hand from my buddy's 02 wrx he had, catless, turbo xs mbc, street tuned by Boostin Performance, still had boost creep issues. So not to sound like a dick but your decent tune with an mbc will definitely always have zero issues. And I'm not saying you'll have 100% zero issues with an ebcs and EWG but your chances are a lot slimmer.

If it was your friends car then you do not know first hand...I know because I owned a bugeye that was catless. You're wrong. It is in the tune. Sorry.

Lol dude my buddy with the 02 is also my neighbor in which we worked on together and I've driven as well. I know first hand. I don't think your a certified professional tuner, and I guarantee if you call any shop and say "hey I'm catless and have an mbc, can you make me not have boost creep?" They will lol at you. There's a lot more to it than just an mbc.
