300blk is more expensive than 308.... so I don't get the point.. ...

I already have a M1A and Socom to cover the 308 department and the appealing thing about 300 BLK is you can use an existing 5.56 lower and mags Versus having to get a 308 specific lower and all new mags, other than a upper I have all the other parts and I want to keep my AR platforms as interchangeable as possible.

Doesn't help that I just bought a P229 and I am going back for a P226 so buying just an upper versus having to invest in a 308 dedicated lower and new mags sounds better.

all you need is a barrel... everything else will work...

yea I have a 308 and a couple AR`s... what draws me to the 300 is the sub sonic abilities and being able to throw 220gr with nobody knowing it...

love the Sig`s but the trigger pull is more set up for a tactical weapon. and I have my HK for that.

So.... little story...

pelican case, air tight, like really air tight... .

last Tuesday I cleaned my Para and loaded all 5 magazines in preperation for shooting on last friday. When i got to my brothers house on friday to my dismay i opened my case with my Para, 5 loaded magazines, and a 22 cal suppressor. had been drenched in cat piss. this had to happen when i cleanded them 3 days prior... OMG, small was bad...

frustration level was high... took the Para out and the magazine in the weaspong were somewhat dry, but still smelled HOIRRIFIC.... closed the case and put it next to the car.

smell was trapped in due to being air tight, had no idea...

cleaned the Para that day and shot all day. put 100 rounds through it no isses. was even shooting steel at 100 yards with it.

fast forward to yesterday...

looked up the cost of replacement foam, as i knew there is no getting cat piss out of the foam, would smell forever.. Way to expensive. more than the pelican case cost at Costco....

went to Freddies and picked up some memory foam, and some regular stuff. was $16 totall. i used less than 1/3 of what i bought....

took me 3 hours to clean the 4 magazines, weapon, and case. the suppressor needs to be torn down as it has started to rust in some areas i cant reach... i have it in a zip lock bad full of Frog Lube and hoping it doesnt get worse untill i can get a take down tool for it.

i have 2 cats, i dont know what one pissed in my case... if i did i would be looking for a replacment...

yuck.
My GF's cat (whom is no longer with us for certain reasons) had a bad habit of pissing all over my stuff. My snowboard, my drums, my furniture, new carpet etc etc. One day I was at a meeting I kept smelling urine. I checked my clothes, my jacket, my car and no matter where I looked I couldn't find the source of the smell. After about two hours of searching for the source without any success my ear started to itch.... touch my ear.. sticky... smell finger...
smelled like R.Kelly's sheets.

Turns out the cat had pissed on my headphones that I wear when I play the drums. I played the drums right before my meeting. Looking in the mirror I noticed that I had a perfect ring of cat piss around both ears in my hair and on my face.

Cats do land on their feet btw.

For those interested we finally got in a large shipment of P-Mags at TT, so if you have backorders with us then we will be filling those first.

Then the rest will filter through the retail store and our warehouse for online orders.

I am not sure if we will still keep a restriction on Mil and LE only at this time through the retail store.

As an employee I cannot purchase any, so no buddy deals as of this time

From what I hear we have over 1,200 of them going out from back orders dating to January.

I believe we received 1,500 mostly Gen 3 with some Gen 2 thrown in there.

Curt's sounds like a place I need to visit, going to have to stop by there the next time I am down. I believe you converted Erik already

Tacoma Sportsman just had their 600 yard range open for the day on Sunday. A lot of .50 cals and .338

Ended up shooting my 100 yard zero'd Whetherby Vanguard S2 30-06 hitting a 2ft gong a few times. A few AR-15s (.223) were grouping extremely well at that distance too. One guy iron sighted his 303 British (not sure what rifle it was... OLD) and hit the gong, then ran out of ammo. That was pretty bad-ass.

Good fun. Hopefully they open that distance more often.

Here are some photos just because. I took these when I was bored at the house. I have an XDs 9mm coming my way today.

Pictures taken with an old Nikon D40 stock lens using tripod and led light in some photos. Light editing done via iPhoto.

So what kind of targets is everyone shooting? Ive been looking at some steel. Bigger initial investment but will last.
