Default Mattesonb's Satin Black 2011 WRX build

I picked up the car july of 2011 and have mainly done aesthetic mod's so far to maintain my warranty, though i will be going stage 2 next week.





















So Far i have done the following

Exterior;
3m 1080 scotchprint Satin Black wrap ( wrapped by yours truely )
Satin blacked stock wheels
Perrin quad tip cat back exhaust in "Stealth Black" finish
RA urethane mud flaps with grey logo
Swapped complete 2012 STI headlights over, added TSX-R lens and painted housing black
Chrome dipped front and rear turn signals
front and rear emblems painted black as well as chrome surround
Tail lights tinted (as well as 3rd brake light and lower reflectors)
JBK fog surround LED driving lights
WRX euro front plate
Perrin stubby antenna
DIY hood scoop and lower valence mesh grill's
Bayson R WRX STi CS Type-1 Front Lip
Brake calipers painted black
Mutegi Black closed lug nuts
Hella horns plasti dipped black
Full STI mirror housing

Interior;
Pioneer x8500bhs head unit with pioneer back up camera
JDM AV panel
Swapped WRX Limited leather interior with heated seats
STI center console with Legacy top
STI 5 spd leather and aluminum shift knob
Cobb adjustable SS
Kartboy shifter bushings
Redline leather shift and emergency brake boots
All interior trim painted satin black
Extended arm rest with STI leather cover swapped over
switched all interior lights to white LED
12" LED strip to rear hatch roof for cargo area
full dynamat and ensolite sound deadening on all doors, rear hatch, hatch floor
Sound ordnance b-8pt 8" underseat sub

performance;
Torqued Performance Stage 2 tune
Perrin catted DP
Perrin cat back in stealth black
perrin 25mm solid front sway
Whiteline 22mm adjustable rear sway

Hey there.. Nice car. Very tastefully done.

I'm considering the x8500bhs myself and wanted to get an owner's opinion on day to day usability and overall satisfaction. How do you like that HU?

Also, you have the JDM AV Panel. If I were to skip that part, would the HU still fit and function with some ungainly gaps around the screen, or would I necessarily have to get the plastic bezel adapters?

as far as the 8500bhs goes, i really like it. I had an avic z140bt before and the interface was horrible. I love being able to remove the faceplate on this one as well. the only downside is the Iphone 5 integration is pretty lackluster, but pretty much all current head units are that way right now.

as for the JDM av panel, i had the Scoche adapter in with my Z140bt before this and is looked about the same. to be honest i am kinda bummed that the JDM av panel doesn't have a tighter fit around the stock double din
