well...the idiot still goes to the dealer for ****ing oil changes for ONE.....and what happens if you have a real issue that causes engine failure and you need an engine in it and you get denied because its modded???

and i could go on, but you get the point

we got way too many know nothings, first car guys buying these cars and ****ing them all up and then goin to the dealer wanting warranty work for what THEY did and it just makes those of us with legit issues get pissed on by the dealers and on and on and on and on and on and on.....

look. im 27, this is not my first car, nor my first time modding. i bought this car with my own hard earned money so i do as i please with it. when did i ever say im trying to get subaru to pay for it? the dealership tried that. the car had no problems until they changed the oil. if it was something i did then i would own up and fix it. but it isnt.

BTW, 0w-30 won't hurt the car, and if anything, it would be somewhat good for it. A thinner winter weight is generally considered a good thing because when the engine starts, almost any weight of oil will initially be too thick to lubricate properly. While it is common for the average joe to think that a thicker winter weight will 'cling' to parts better, the reality is that a thinner winter weight will allow the oil to circulate better at startup, providing better protection (and in theory a quicker warm-up).
0w-20 on the other hand is quite a bit too thin, and more than likely wouldn't provide adequate protection depending on your uses of the vehicle (and as a matter of fact, a lot of people here run 0w-40 or 5w-40).
