Glad to hear everyone was okay. The loss of the car is definitely felt throughout this community because it was such an amazing and inspirational vehicle. I know I for one try to use your build as a guide for my own.

Damn that sucks, at least no one was hurt. Going to miss trolling this thread Seriously though I appreciate all the detail you put into your build thread, I know it helped me out with a couple installs. Your car will be missed around here.

Damn. That sucks. Good no one was hurt.

Your car certainly was a positive contribution to this community (thanks for all the exhaust reviews, LOL) and it will be missed! Best of luck with your next project, be sure to post a link to it in this thread so we can all find it.

Buy it back off of insurance. You will be able to get more $ out of those parts than it will cost to buy the car back from them.

Sorry to hear about your WRX, this build was my favorite by far. I am excited to see what you do with your new Forester, we just picked one up and I'd like to do a few things to it as well.

As I already stated, the car is gone. Nothing will be parted out except the stock parts I have laying around. The Forester probably won't have much else done. The wheels/suspension/grill were the main things I wanted. I wouldn't mind tinting the front windows and adding a better head unit and speakers, but it's not a priority right now. Still on the lookout for a clean, older Subaru for a new build.

A friend of mine had (crashed) a swapped '97 RS. Thing was light and FAST. That could be a very cool project car...

Love the build and detail in this car and I am looking forward to the new build. Not to sound like a A$$ but I am just wondering why you dont buy the car back? You put more then $20,000 in parts in the car and financially it would make sense to buy it back and part it out and make some of your loss back. Unless the insurance paid you for all of the parts that was installed. I am not telling you what to do or anything but from my experience from losing my Si I was at least able to replace some aftermarket parts on the car with stock parts.

because it's either being tinkered away on in a garage somewhere...

or it was totaled in a massive ball of fire and nothing was salvageable.

I think he's already stated he does not want to mess with swaps/wiring. So we may see a GD build for the next beast.
