Default AVLS help

Hey guys, I'm trying figure out if my AVLS are opening/working.
I just installed a new cam and spring kit plus a CAI and under drive pulleys. I've given the car some time to relearn the idle, but I'm still not feeling any extra power what so ever. I have not noticed any oil leaking, but I will look closer today. I'm trying to find the exact location for the AVLS solenoid but I'm not sure where it is.
Any idea's?

Good headers and a tune is required to support the increased flow or those big cams may do more harm than good

Thanks, I am panning a header upgrade and I have a tractrix cable and ecuflash. I wanted to break the cams in good before I retune.
But these cam are designed to work with the stock computer, I should have seen some kinda power increase.

You've also added a CAI which is definitely going to screw around with your AFRs, your MAF will almost certainly need a rescale (mine did with the stock intake!).
As Race said, you need to get headers and a tune to pull it all together and have things running optimally, the stock ECU map can only do so much.

How are you measuring whether power increased or not? If it's just the butt dyno, then I wouldn't be surprised if you can't feel the difference.

The idle in my car has finally settled, so I guess that means my computer has adjust as much as it can to the new cams. I have now noticed more mid range power. But top end is lacking. After talking with Tom at TWE I'm going to get a set of there headers. As you guys stated, that is what is needed next. Then a tune to round it all off.
