Default Do I have a SPT exhaust?

Hey everyone, just got my STi not too long ago and I was checking out the exhaust planning mods. It looks like my muffler tips say SPT on them. Is it safe to assume I have at least the SPT cat back on my car? Dose the SPT down pipe and stuff also have SPT stamped on them as well? Thanks

I've not seen the midpipe stamped as well as the tip.

Pics may help a little...

Here is the best I can do for the moment. Can't get it up to get all the way under right now. I would suspect just cat or axle back since that down pipe looks like what would be stock.

Yes, you have the spt catback exhaust. There is no such animal as a spt downpipe. Yours pictured is the friendly oem downpipe.

its says spt. i think you answered your own question. that downpipe is the nice restrictive oem one. nothing changed there.

Thought so, thanks for the confirm. Might keep the cat back and save some change when I upgrade. The dp on my mini was real restrictive too, huge difference when I swapped it.

I'm sure you are already aware but it's been made clear time and time again on this forum that this still needs to be said...

Do not forget to get a tune immediately after swapping out the downpipe to prevent driveability issues and possible engine failure. These engines do NOT like mods without tunes.

Yes I plan to do headers and dp and immediately get a tune.

might I suggest equal length header for the consistent temps on all cylinders and hi-flo catted dp for later on no boost creep issue. Do it right so you don't have waste money.

Exactly, I'm thinking the Killer-B headers when I do it. I'm also probably going to get the Nameless Performance catted DP and mid pipe and do it all at the same time.
