Default P0340 keeps coming back

Hey whats going on guys.

Heres my issue, I have an 02 WRX stage 2 set up(M2 TBE, Mugan Up pipe, Grimspeed Boost control, and a tune by Tach Motor Works. Im boosting 17psi out of a stock turbo.) Recently I spun a bearing in my motor so I sent out my motor to a machine shop and got it rebuilt. Replaced the the pistons and rods with Mahle forged Pistons and eagle forged rods. bored out the block if I am not mistaken The compression ratio is 8.2 to 1. After the motor was put back in and I started it up, I got the PO340 (Camshaft sensor A bank 1 or single sensor). So I did my research and found just replaced it. But I am still getting that code but it isn't consistent. Sometime it turns on the check engine light, sometime it just flashes or sometimes it doesn't even come on( I keep reseting the check engine light). I don't know if this affects my boost because my turbo has a hard time boosting. I was just thinking Would I have to get a retune? or is it something else? any advise would help guys thanks!!

One of the cams is a tooth off, tear down the timing cover and check your timing marks
