Default Hybrid motor cylinder head cc porting?

Anyone know a good shop in the mass/ri area that can enlarge my 2.0 l cylinder heads combustion chambers for use in a 2.5 hybrid engine build? Or am I better off using Sti heads with wrx cams? Let me know thanks.

IMO the best way is go with 257 or 255 heads. However, If you are machining, you can also ship them to EQ Tuning.

bunch of people can do it, but its not cost effective when good EJ257 heads go for 700-1000 a set.

anywhere reputable that does it, by the time they do the machining, valve job, etc is going to be in the same ballpark.

Ive got at least one set of spare 04/early 05 EJ257 heads here pulled from a running motor with the provision for the 16bit cam sensor.

I had ASF Machine in Colorado CnC my EJ205 heads. I would recommend them if you end up going that route. It was quite reasonable cost-wise including shipping.

But, Matt is right, getting EJ257 heads these days is much easier than it used to be.

Feel free to give us a call for details but cliff notes are we offer the service with a 48 hour turn around. This is done on one of our in house CNC Mills and the cost is $399 including return shipping to you. Sorry for the small image but I'm posting from my cell

IAG, I would assume that is just for the CNC'ing, right? Keep in mind that when you get them back youll also need a valve job and such.

Larrys can CNC them as well

At the risk of being wrong, yes, that price is just for the CNC Combustion chambers.

Correct, but we offer everything from Multi-angle Serdi valve job, valve lash setting, resurfacing, cleaning, big valves, CNC porting........All can be added as options.

Its also worth noting, that we always keep rotation heads here with the combustion chamber mod, valve job and resurfacing already done. If you customer chooses to, they can be shipped out the same day as receiving a good core from the customer.

if your doing a complete motor build like i did , then you dont need to machine your heads just go with JE pistons they make a forged piston thats dished out for the 2.5 hybrid. thats what i have done to my car right now. there around 600 i believe

You can just use the 2.5 head gasket laid on the 2.0 head as a guide.
