COBB Tuning Products, LLC, located in north central Austin, is an automotive engineering company dedicated to developing solutions that improve vehicle performance and the driving experience. COBB Tuning is currently seeking an experienced staff accountant for a position in the North Austin area.

Job Description: Perform duties according to established policies and procedures, complete deadline driven tasks within QuickBooks 2012, help prepare financial statements, reconcile moderately complex accounts, complete journal entries. In addition, the position involves various ad-hoc reporting and analysis.

Job Duties:
This position requires a background with the proven ability to perform the following functions:
• Manage and reconcile accounts payable
• Manage and reconcile accounts receivable
• Establish and maintain transaction accounting duties
• Help complete month-end close
• Manage and maintain general ledger and journal entries
• Prepare financial statements
• Reconcile Balance Sheet, bank, and other accounts
• Document and review processes & implementing continued improvements

Required Qualifications:
• Strong accounting experience in QuickBooks, Great Plains, or Peachtree, etc.
• Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge and data management
• Accounting information reporting, research and analysis
• Problem solving and dealing with complexity
• Have an attention to detail & thoroughness
• Posses strong oral and written communications skills
• 2-3 years experience in an accountant role

Other Qualifications desired:
• Bachelor's Degree in business or accounting
• Inventory tracking & ERP system management
• Experience in manufacturing (scrap accounting, calculations, and management) is a plus

Pay will be based on current market rates and depends on experience. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits and paid time off.
