Default RPM increase when shifting

Hey guys,

I have a 2013 Hatchback WRX. Current mods are Invidia Catless Downpipe, Invida q300 exhaust, Cobb SF Short Ram Intake, Accessport tuned to Stage 2 93 Low Waste Gate.

I've begun to notice, starting today, that when shifting from 3rd to 4th and 4th to 5th, my RPMs increase. It is generally small, 100-200 RPM, but under load (3k+) I can see an increase as large as 500 RPM. The rev does not hang, but peaks and immediately drops to normal levels.

I've read some threads around stating this is normal, but I have not seen one specifically regarding my year.

Can anyone offer some assistance?

Thanks!

Also, I can confirm its NOT an issue where my gas/clutch timing is bad.

Could be your clutch temporarily slipping as you first engage it. One of my old cars did that for a while right as the clutch wore out and I would get on the gas hard right after a shift. I could prevent it by rolling into the throttle slowly. But anytime I was accelerating hard, it would slip like that, causing a momentary rev of the engine.

Sounds pretty normal to me.
