I'm waiting for the diesel/MS. Now that the VW GTD is confirmed for next year, will be nice to see Mazda step up..

^ That may have hurt its aerodynamics a bit and probably wouldn't have helped them achieve whatever mpg targets they had.

That pop up HUD screen is so Anime. I'm probably too old to get excited about such a thing, but I think it looks really cool.

I bought my '13 on 6/20. Then a week later they show me this beauty of a car.

Should have waited. -_-
If a MS3 is made again, you bet I'll be thinking real hard about taking a huge hit on depreciation for that car.

Really digging the interior shot! The interior in my 2011 MS3, while not horrible (except for the look of the seats), was not one of my favorite things about the car. If they could bring a new MS3 model out for this next generation, with better shifting/clutch feel/experience, I would be very interested in giving Mazda my business again.

This car should be a lot lighter than the previous gen too. That could help a MS3 a lot. One of the biggest problems with the current MS3 is that it's too heavy.

Just sat in a new 3. It's really clean and open inside, much less claustrophobic than the Focus. The lines look great in person, and the dark red signature color is quite handsome. It strikes a balance between mature and hip, if that makes sense. The radio is a little odd, sticking out all alone above the dash, but the controls are quite clean and simple. Compared to my 2012 3, it's much calmer and more intuitive inside. I like it.

I'll come back and test drive one once they have a manual in.

Default New Mazda3 MPS set for 4WD

"It's difficult to answer," said Mazda3 deputy program manager Takeo Mariuchi when asked when we could expect to see a sporty MPS version of the popular small hatch and sedan.

"We have had many questions regarding the MPS. We need to watch the market requirements."
Mazda Australia managing director Martin Benders said an MPS is definitely of interest.
"It's still on our radar and the factory is still sort of considering it," said Benders.
"The priority is to get all the base cars rolled out and set up and worry about the speciality models going forward."
The turbocharged MPS has always driven the front wheels and has been criticised for steering wheel tug, or torque steer, under acceleration. Sending the power to all four wheels - as was the case in the previous generation Mazda6 MPS - would eliminate this and also provide better traction, for improved performance.
Moriuchi said now that the new 3 shares its underpinnings with the CX-5 SUV it opened the door for a 4WD version.
"From a technical point of view itís not difficult to install a four-wheel-drive system," he told Drive.
Four-cylinder performance models have evolved substantially in the last five years.
As well as speciality pocket rockets such as the limited volume Ford Focus RS there have been higher output models such as the Volkswagen Golf R.
And Mercedes-Benz recently reset the four-cylinder benchmark with its A45 AMG that combines the world's most powerful four-cylinder with a four-wheel-drive system to give it performance that can embarrass more accomplish sports cars.
