Thanks, guys. I'll take a closer look at the map so this will be helpful to come up with a plan. I'm mainly looking for a decent ride before the TOE next week but not overdo it either.

this is the big one I just did being discussed above if you are on Strava this might help to see where I went. I've got family stuff this weekend or I'd join you!

Good to know about the trail conditions. I'm not a big fan of riding in the mud so I'll probably push the ride to Sunday. Hopefully the warm weather on Friday and Saturday dries things out.

I'm on Strava so I'll check it out tonight when I'm logged in at home. And I'll definitely be doing some pre-riding for the CF100 in July and August so I'll send you a pm when I head up there.

looking for a good place to ride this saturday. Needs to be within a 2 hour drive from Olympia, Wa. I'd prefer for it to have some fun flowy downhill with some decent jumps/berms.

Any Ideas?????(not duthie)

Have you been to the summit ridge park? It's a shortish run, but their "built" trials are fun/flowy, bermed and a few lines to waste a few hours at is worth a visit. Near black diamond.

I can't think of much beyond that....tiger mtn maybe.... If I could ride Satu, I'd go capital as usual LOL

Just got done doing Little Larch runs in capitol, fun as always. Summit ridge is an option. Is it worth the drive or is duthie better?

I'd say duthie is probably better but Summit Ridge is worth a day trip. Different and some really fun trails there. It's closer than Duthie from Oly as well.

I went out on the road yesterday and dealt with the heat....wow. Viva le Tour!

Changed my Capitol Forest plans at the last minute on Sunday to avoid the mud and went down to Bend. Started in the 90+ degree heat and rode to the snow. Awesome riding and finished the afternoon at Crux Fermentation Project.

^ Nice. Did 24 miles yesterday starting at Wanoga snow park and ended up at Old Mill Brew Werks. Man it's been hot.

Does anything know of a good mountain bike forum/review site? The bike I bought came carzy aggressive wide mud tires on it that don't get any traction in gravel, I need some good hybrid tires but know nothing about bicycles.

what kind of riding do you do?

Tire size is 26", I think my boss is going to give me the factory tires off his super nice full suspension specialized (he replaced them with street tires).

I have already bought a couple things for the bike... Its nice coming from modding a car to modding a bike, instead of spending $200-1000+ for parts I'm spending $15-40, lol. If I have time tonight I'm going to find some bar ends online.
im up in bellingham too, pm me if you ever want to go ride!!!

I'm game in the Oregon Willamette Valley - I'm in Corvallis and trying to get Yakima racks on so I can haul stuff AND bikes. :-) Anyone know if Y10's work on a second gen Legacy? I really don't want to have to spring for Q towers.

Did an out and back at Mt. Hood on Surveyors Ridge and Dog River on Saturday. Crazy fun but I'm still feeling it today. Makes me slightly nervous with the HC100 in only a few days.

I figured this would be a good place to start with selling my 2012 Rock Shox Boxxer World Cup. I am asking $750. Here is the ad:

Let me know if you want to meet up, or have any questions.

I've been on non-biking vacation for awhile and feel like I prob got fat and slow.

Heading out to capital tonight to find out....

does anyone on here do any BMX? I went to the Sea Tac track yesterday and saw the setup...thinking about getting my boy into it.

I work for Seattle Bike Supply, the company that supplies/distributes Redline BMX bikes. I am around it all day, and I have to say, it's one of the best sports you can get involved with as a family. The track days and races are super family oriented, and the kids have lots of fun. Most of the time you can find people selling bikes/gear/helmets, all the stuff needed to try it with out "jumping in" and paying for brand new bike and gear. Parents buy super nice little bikes and the kids grow out of them fast, so there is always people looking to flip those bikes!

When I worked at the bike shop in Renton, Center Cycle, we sponsored 2 BMX teams, and all I can say, with the exception of a few bad apples (aggro dads!) it was awesome seeing all the kids having fun and doing well, and even a few that went on to be national and regional champs which is pretty cool!

/\/\ Right on, thanks.....probably will do this eventually with him.

I spent a night down at Mt Saint Helens over the weekend, did an epic road loop and then epic mtb loop the following day. Some amazing riding down there!

Thanks, I've had a blast there! Not sure, they either took a really slow run because they were not where in sight when I started at the top or they crossed over from the other.
