Question 02 wrx rear wagon seat in old school wagon?

My question is, will it fit?

I know the 02 wrx seats front and rear will fit in an old body style coupe/sedan........but what about newer wagon seats for the rear, do they fit?

Ponder that

Good question. I too would like to know.
If it doesn't work, you can buy someone's rear wagon seat covers and swap them. They turn up from people who have put in leather seat covers.

True.....maybe a couple people with a new and old wagon could get together and try it out

I am pretty sure that omahasubaru swapped the covers. That's where I got the idea.

Thumbs up Wagon seat cover swap

Last weekend, I swapped out the covers in my 1998 OBS for a set out of a new wagon. The new covers are larger, so some sewing was required, a layer of extra padding, and ablock of foam to fill in the cubby hole where the rear seat belt buckles could be stored. It took me an evening in front of the TV for each of the three seat parts - and like Santa, I had a little helper.

Looking at where the holes in the new cover were, I would not be surprised if you could just bolt in the whole seats (but I didn't have these to check).

I'll take and post a photo later, but it looks OK, I had three people in the back this weekend and no-one noticed.

a guy on the board in Fl put in RS seats into his wagon.

Andrew (thesubiedriver) just had to get a bar to run across the back of the seats to keep them supported. The bar goes around where the strut towers are.

I saw them a couple weeks ago. He just said he needed to to some cosmetic work to it to make it look better.
