And also my app is not free and it was doing mode 06 scanning so it puts it in those codes for that mode. It's not throwing a CELl so nothing is coming up if I do any other scans.

I've read through this whole thread... based on the noise, and description of where you feel it's coming from I think you have a leak at your uppipe. If someone replaced your turbo, and did not use all new gaskets on the exhaust manifold, and uppipe it would explain why your boost build then falls flat on it's face. The uppipe is what is feeding the exhaust gases into the turbo to make the magic happen, and it sounds like the gasket is letting go, which would explain the plastic bag sound (this is exhaust gas being expelled through leaks).

Get a can of WD-40 and / or liquid wrench a socket set, this:http://www.importimageracing.com/gim...ge-subaru.html ,and about 2 hours of free time.

You can do this in your driveway or pay someone else to install them your call, but it's 2 hour of wrenching and a couple bloody knuckles in your drive way on jack stands. Your call. It's also one of the cheapest solutions you should try first to eliminate.

This is what the uppipe looks like when it is not on the car (the funny looking flange is connected to the turbo, and the other end is connected to the exhaust manifold (headers):

Prescott amazing info thanks alot! this isn't even my thread but I have the same problem. I recently replaced my catted uppipe with a catless one and didnt use great gaskets (they were the ****ty aluminum ones) and then that nasty plastic bag leaky sound began. I since ordered grim speed gaskets (the double thickness ones) and will replace them. I'm confident that will solve the problem. I also plan on replacing the o2 sensor with a bolt and doing the resistor mod. thanks again for the info and reassurance!!

No worries. Perrin's gaskets should be fine (The big 3 you can really never go wrong with are Perrin, Grimmspeed, and Invidia) The only company I know of that makes thicker then stock gaskets is Grimmspeed. When I did my EGT sensor and had to drop my exhaust manifold I used that set I posted the link for and have been fine for 9k miles no leaks what-so-ever.

One more thing: When you go to tighten everything back up thread everything first, get the fit just right before torquing the bolts to spec. DO NOT over torque the headers to the heads. Factory torque specs are 26ft lbs. You don't want to crack a bolt off (or a chunk of the heads) when tightening everything up. That would be bad joo-joo

I never knew I could over tighten things.. Oops. Nothings broke or anything so im assuming im ok lol.. But prescott you are such a helpful guy. I put it on today. A holy **** pain in the ass because I couldn't jack the motor up the bolt wouldn't come loose so I removed the up pipe brace from the top and wiggled that fat ass stock up pipe out without removing the turbo. New one was like a hot dog in a hallway easy to get in lol new gaskets on put everything back together. And now my baby has more pep than ever! Im so thankful for your info! None of the gaskets looked bad but what do I care it works like a charm now! I love you dude if I was 21 id FedEx you a case of beer right now. Now I just need a tune and I'll be set!
