Default 93-01 subaru impreza, swap sti question

Hi,

ive searched a bit and found nothing useful

I want to buy a 93-01 impreza and swap it sti v4-5 or 6

wich year is better?

is the motor bolt-on?

do i need the sti differential?

is the sti ecu and wiring harness plug and play in the stock impreza body?

Last time I was thinking about the same thing the wiring harness you will have to get married together if I'm not mistaken and you will need the sti diff if your using the sti trans and you will need the ecu also for the sti motor also

This swap is somewhat expensive, but I would suggest a USDM swap if you're in California and to make life a little easier . You have to use the correct diff for the transmission, but I've also read/heard you could use the diff and transmission from what you currently have, but you would have to baby it somewhat.

Wiring is somewhat a pain getting it merged.

thank you,

expensive? i'm from montreal and a V6 sti engine transmission and ecu are 2100$ and 500$ for sti diff wih axle and driveshaft.
