They will fit. 93-01 is identical for WRX and RS except for front swaybar.

Don't the pinks lift the GC chassis a bit?
They should work though. It's really hard to find pictures, I had the same question myself. :-* |

do these HKS coils fit on a 2010 wrx?
http://www.amazon.com/HKS-80140-AF007-Hipermax-Coilover-Suspension/dp/B001N21HJM i found the link below that says 08-09 but 2010 should work fine too right? Looks like there was not a sport version for the wrx in the GE/GH family. thoughts? http://www.hks-power.co.jp/usa/products/Pid=3436.html 80140-AF007 SUBARU Impreza WRX 2008-2009 there are 2010 listings on there for the sti only though Last edited by Hextro; 03-12-2013 at 03:11 PM. |

i question it because that's amazon saying that and not the HKS site. Amazon sells a lot of everything so they might not be as dialed in as needed.
thanks, |

The only difference between the 08-10 and 11+ wrx's (in terms of suspension) is the spring rates as well as the slightly wider track width with the 11+'s. Did you try contacting hks to triple check?

08-10 coilovers and shocks for WRX are interchangeable. STI fronts are different.
11+ has the widebody so they aren't exactly the same, but they fit. Putting 08-10 style shocks/coilovers on an 11 will get you a bunch more negative camber (which can be a good thing). Going the other direction you end up with a lot less negative camber. FWIW you can do better than that for that much cash. - drew |

AndyRoo - totally agree, but I might get some lightly used for < $1k and that would be worth it IMO.
I'm also thinking about just doing the koni setup so i don't mess with the setup all the time (which i bet i would be with track day visits etc..). i almost need the cup kit install and forget it setup |

Gotcha, not a bad deal if they're in good condition. A new Koni + RCE set-up from TIC might be around that price new though. Haven't looked in a while.

Curious with the issues of a front 02-07 wrx swaybar on a 05 STI? Nothing is mentioned specifically

So if I read correctly. 04-07 sti struts, springs, and top hats should fit onto a 05 wrx? Or only 05-07 sti struts, springs, top hats will fit 05-07 wrx's? Am I correct? Looking to upgrade my suspension with sti struts springs and top hats

No, 04 STi struts and springs will fit 02-07 WRX. 05-07 STi rears will fit but fronts will not.

The "Will it fit?" portion for the MY range that covers my 2006 states that 05+ STI suspension bits will not fit on my car. That said, the post was written in 2007.
I'd just like to confirm that this trend did in fact hold true since the original posting date. The question at hand is, if I swapped struts, springs, and top hats from an 08 STi to my '06 2.5i wagon, would there be any issues? Thanks! |

Nice thread Race Comp Engineering!!
Here's a little something I just discovered. I was able to straight swap the factory 15mm RSB from my 95 legacy into my wife's 03 OBS. I'd removed the SB from the lagacy to up-size it to a gen 1 OB's 18mm RSB. So it follows that the 13mm RSB from an 02-03 OBS (I assume 00-07 impreza bodies?) can ultimately be replaced a gen 1 OB's (96-99) 18mm RSB. These are more abundant and possibly cheaper than WRX 20mm bars, so a great and easy improvement if not THE best possible improvement. I noticed you have specific info regarding sti part fitment etc. and those specifics are out of my experience (I'm an off-road guy with a lifted BD), but I did find something which could be of use regarding RSB on my wife's 03 OBS. Ciao! |
