Default Newbie wanting to say hi and this is my first Subaru.

Just bought my first Subaru a few weeks ago. I went to a dealership and picked up a pearl white 2011 Subaru WRX STI sedan in mint condition. No mods all factory with 25k on it. I must say this is such a beautiful and fun car to drive. Said it was a limited. How can I tell if its the limited or premium? Has leather suede seats, nav, hid adjustable lights, heated seats, Ect. Hope to learn a lot on this site.

If its got all leather, navigation and a sunroof it's the premium. Subaru.com has that info as well.

Welcome to the forum. The limited STI sedan has all leather seats. The base (the one I have) has leather and alcantara seats. Yours may be a base with nav added. Either way, its a great car. Enjoy!

I must say I don't see to many new STIs like mine around driving in upstate NY. I do get WRX drivers waiving n giving me thumbs up when I'm driving my new STI. Never got that from the Evo guys when I had my evolution lol.

Don't waste your money on an Accessport. The off the shelf tunes it comes with are remedial, you are much better off getting a tuner in your area to road or dyno tune, or contacting an Internet tuner to study datalogs, and send map updates. You will get much more power and torque, reliability, safety, for 1/3 of the price.

Plus, chances are you'd be "protuning" the Accessport eventually, getting a professional tune using the accessport, spending the money for a dyno or road tune. Especially if you do that, you've rendered the purchase of an AP redundant.

One of the only defenses I've heard from AP users is the ability to "change maps on the fly." Well if the maps are generic tunes, switching between them is still not very effective.

Many tuners will charge a drastically reduced rate for an additional map for your car, so as long as you have a laptop, you can easily switch between maps, and those maps will be very high quality and individual to your car.

Hopefully I've saved you 600 dollars. Get a tune and go to a NASA event or driving school with the money. You'll thank me later.

Save your money. My first mod was the ap. Its great! Smoothed out that dip before the turbo spools. HOWEVER. Might as well save for the cobb bundle and save urself some cash with a deal. I just went stage 2 with the cobb catted dp and exhaust. (Running stage 2 map). Its awesome.

It all really depends on your needs. AP makes things extremely simple and you can read vital stats on your vehicle on the fly without the use of aftermarket gauges. AP in IMHO should ALWAYS be the first modification given the OEM lean tune. AP, TBE, protune. You won't be sorry.

OP, if you don't mind, how much did you pay? Within 2 years or so I'll be looking to possibly trade my WRX in.

Welcome, and nice car btw
