Totally awesome build and excellent craftsmanship!

This and the whole forum is putting all kinds of crazy ideas in my head for my stock '02 wagon, even though it has to stay just about stock for now...

delicious build, with all the money spent and motors, I would love a simple ls swap in 1 of a few bodies I have in mind, It be much cheaper in the long run

I'd like to find a nice 04-05 sti and do an all motor swap lsx swap, nothing crazy like this build. But i doubt i'll ever get around to doing it.

Well finally got a MRI done on my knee last friday and got the results today...
Completely torn ACL, MCL , and a tear in some cartilage. Gotta have surgery mid august. So yea gonna have more down time... Really wasn't expecting my knee to be that serious.

Surgery on the knee is officially called off... After a ton of reading and advice on my knee situation, Im going to let my mcl heal on its own. The surgeon was only wanting to fix the ACl. I believe the Acl has been gone for many yrs of racing motocross. Pretty sure both knees have acl damage. my knees feel strong, working on getting range of motion back in the injured knee. the mcl injury needs to be healed first anyways before even thinking about acl reconstructive surgery. I've read that some people have acl grade 3 tears and the other muscles just build up and take over and never get the acl fixed... Which my knee has never been unstable and no paint with pressure or walking. I really honestly think Id be worse off getting surgery. This has been on my mind this whole month, haven't done much to the car. But Im ready to get back on the car and get this thing rolling. So expect some pics soon!

I'm really inspired by your thread. I wish my projects had as much focused direction, "get er done" attitude, and total disregard for money (haha). I'm just now getting a garage back again and have 3 projects on the drawing board; a TT '00 GT Mustang, a 31ft. Offshore boat with surface drives, and I'm picking up my first WRX, an 02 on weds. which has spurred my interest and led me here. I also just picked up a 6.2 ls block with l92 heads which I think needs to get a 418 stroker kit and find its way into a 1940's Pontiac Torpedo or a 1970 c10. Haven't decided yet. So obviously I have a 5 year plan haha. I'm subscribing because I'm curious to see what a stock 4.8 can handle. GL and godspeed man.

I tore my acl while crumpling around my bike on a downhill run a couple of years ago. I opted to not get it 'fixed' and it took about a 6 months for my knee to feel sturdy enough to go in the back country on my snowboard. Now 4 years later, I'd never know it was torn.

Were you doing some gnar drop on the bmx or something to get it that way? Good luck on the recovery and take it easy.

and as everyone else has already said many time, dope ass project. can't wait to see it finished

Glad to hear someone else decided not to do acl surgery as well. Im pretty sure I tore my acl in 2010 on a pitbike ( bbr perimeter frame 50). Which had me down about 6 months, never went to the Dr. then. So this time i just landed just right on that knee and tore the mcl this time. My knee feels pretty good. Mcl is healing up now, walking i have no issues, and no pain when baring weight. Almost have full ROM back in it.
But I wish i could say i was doing a bad ass trick, but i wasn't. Just a 180 fakie out of a bowl. At the park there are 3 concrete bowls in the ground along the sidewalk, it was getting dark and a little kid ran out in front of me when i was dropping into the bowl, i was already committed to the trick... but i tried to back out at the last min.. My rear tire didnt clear the lip so my body turned, bike did like a 90 degree turn so i landed on my left side / leg, and it just buckled and twisted. everyone was laughing, when my leg was on fire, major pain. only pain was my mcl, inner side of my knee. But its been a little over a month and everyday its an improvement. got a brace im wearing now which helps out. But take it day by day, i almost have forgot about it being tore up. so i see no reason to have a dr hack my knee up.
