Default one stupid little pos

headed home on the 143S this afternoon, stopped in traffic waiting to get on the 10E and ........

BAM!!

stupid little pos hit me like a ton of bricks, blew my rearview mirror off it's mount she hit me so hard
remarkably little outward damage, but it's what's inside that worries me
rear ended, left her license plate bolts in my bumper etc.
drove me over the curb, in my lowered car

so i calmly dialed those 4 magic numbers
reported the incident
gathered my documents
pos walks up to my window and starts telling me how late she is
asks me if i really want to talk to the police
says she's going to lose her job if she's late
then forecasts leaving the scene
at which point i figured a still shot would be way better than moving
so i got out and took a pic of her license plate
then she drove the F*ck away while talking to someone named "Daddy" on the phone

Daddy's going to have at least a $3000 ticket to pay now, stupid pos

SWIC better keep an eye in the rear view for this one, and if you see her let the cops know would ya?
thanks

thanks, i'm fine
car appears okay, her front plate left it's print in my rear bumper cover and the lines where it runs into the body ain't so lovely anymore
i love my car, like seriously love my car
so it will be cosmetically fixed, but that's the kind of stuff i hate the most, OE body lines not lining up, it's for a reason
i'm not kidding when i said she knocked my mirror off, that's a pretty good hit in my opinion
before i got out of the car i was positive the whole back end was toast, couldn't believe how little visible damage there was, literally amazed

dps is supposed to call this evening or tomorrow with her insurance info .... soon after they knock on her door .... they showed me a pic of her before they left ... where'd they get that?

sorry for the expletives but this stupid little pos forked up my stuff then went, pffft, later sucker
i hates that attitude, a lot
own yer schniz!

If she didn't give you contact info, car info and insurance than its a legal hit and run. DPS probably got the picture from her MVD.

Quick thinking on taking the pic of her license plate. Any witnesses that can attest?

nine seven seven one nine oh oh .... bwahaha

neck was sore this morning too, go figure

yep, def a hit and run, and yes glad i snapped the pic
pics are a great idea when you're on teh scene, log that bit of prudence eh?

her car was like mine SirBrass, not bad but not straight
the cars did what they're supposed to do, absorb by surpassing the modulus of elasticity
aka deforming

no witnesses, way too many people around for that
and yes Cinic, that's a terrible spot, it's a dozen accidents waiting to hatch everyday
i tend to go around the corner and get on the broadway entrance more often than not
there's several places that have that situation and to me it seems like poor design, it gives people the opportunity to be stupid and people can generally be counted on to take advantage of such things when offered, every time

still waiting to hear from dps

thanks for the feedback and well wishes, prolly shouldn't have posted it but i was pee ohed, or could you tell?

Probably won't hear from DPS until this week. Hit and run probably goes to a detective and they usually don't work weekends.

Im sorry about your car (and the upcoming headaches to get it fixed right), but glad you are ok. I think Ive been hit by this very same woman on the 101 a few years ago. She drove a BMW SUV which plowed into the SUV behind me which plowed into me, which totalled my car. Her response? "I was just trying to get home".

Damn dude sorry to hear. I'm glad you are ok man. The last thing I need to hear is someone losing their life because of some reckless jacka**. I hope they get this lady. She's worried about her job?! Wow, now she will lose her job and spend time behind bars. What a scumbag. Keep us posted man.

thanks doods!

the pics won't look that bad Seth, two dents from her license plate and some crooked body lines

but i have to repeat, she hit me hard enough to knock my rearview mirror off of it's mount, just think about that for a second, what would it take to knock your mirror off?
then go back outside and see very little visible damage
weird imho, maybe a testament to the absorbent nature of our rides, def not my want to embellish or exaggerate the impact ... she hit me like a ton o bricks and it's hard to tell unless you look close

Chris over at Subiworx had a quick look underneath and said there's evidence everything moved but not much, maybe that's the key, it spread it all out properly

We're going to squeeze a bit more power out of the beast with some tubes and some tune over the next few weeks, then hopefully get the body straight, bumper fixed, new tires, alignment and should be good to go because rally car

go DPS!

DPS called and left me her info

The officer also seemed invested in making sure my car gets repaired properly, he said his supervisor wrote the report (which must matter) and suggested that the report should be "good enough" to insure I have no trouble getting my car repaired
further he said to call him if i have any trouble getting my car repaired properly, heck yeah buddy!

Thanks DPS!

Great news. Make sure you now find the best shop you can to avoid headaches later down the road. A good body shop seems near impossible to find these days.
