Default Snow Tire Size Question/Concern

So when I traded my civic for my WRX I held on to my snow tires that I had and am worried that I'm not going to be able to find a wheel that will fit on the WRX to accommodate the tires

They are 205/55/16 General Altimax Artic which I believe are meant for 16x7 or 16x6.5 but are there any wheels out there that are that skinny and will clear the brakes and not look stupid? Also, what offset should I be looking at?

I know it's early to think about winter set ups but I want to know if I should sell these and buy new ones or find wheels for these that will fit

205/55/16 is the stock tyre size for 2.5i / RS / OBS for the past years. You shouldn't have an issue finding someone who gets rid of his OEM ones..

I think 16x6.5 and 205s are going to look tiny on your car because your fenders are wider than GDs.

Yeah I agree, but they're just for winter and the small width helps cut through snow better..

If they look really bad I'll just throw some spacers on them for winter

CCSubaru,

My winter setup is 205/55/16 General Altimax Artic's w/ 2003 wrx 16x6.5 wheels on my 2011 wrx. No spacers needed to clear the stock wrx brakes and having the wheels sunken in more might not "look good" but your car will be thanking you when you are not throwing all road salt and what not all over the side of your car (even with mudflaps like I do)

Some have said that the color I chose to paint them make them appear to stick out further then they actually do. It was not my intentions to do this but I guess you could call it a win - win scenario.
