MY12 Club Spec with Yokohama ADVAN RS 18x8.5 48 ET and ADVAN NEOVA 08R
235/40 x 18

Obviously no issues with fit and prodigious grip - near ideal sidewall alignment relative to wheel width

so Rota SVN-R 18 x 10 +30's will fit with no issues if rolled? or would i need a pull as well? & what size tire would it be best with, dont want a stretch, just a wide aggressive stance so i was thinking 255's?

depends on the tire and how low you are. with 10" +30 with 255's will definitely require a roll all around, possible slight pull in the rear depending on height/camber settings.

and a 255 on a 10" wheel will be stretched...

10" wheel youre looking at a 265 or 275 to be square.

Stick with the 18x8.5 Svn at this point.

Have: OEM235/45/17 Tires - OEM 17x8 Wheels
Want: OEM235/45/17 Tires - Rota Grid 17x9 Wheels

Would these tires fit the 17x9 wheel for my 2013 WRX? No suspension mods at the moment and don't plan on them yet.

Will fit fine and will likely not require any fender work.

The tires will be pretty stretched though.

Have: OEM235/45/17 Tires - OEM 17x8 Wheels +53mm Wheels
Want: OEM235/45/17 Tires - Rota Grid 17x9 +42mm Wheels
Want2: OEM235/45/17 Tires - Rota Grid 17x8 +35mm Wheels

Would the second option be better? Is that offset way too low compared to the stock +53mm?

both want options will work fine for you. just pick one. I'd pick want1.

the offset is lower in Want2, but youre making up for that entirely by the loss of 1" in wheel width. 1/2" (13mm) on each side

you are pushing the wheel further out by 7mm, but then reducing it by about 13mm.
the Want2 will actually stick out towards the fender less than Want1.

Sorry, last question. Would the tire stretch in 17x9 be non-optimal? I just don't know the total risk of overstretching tires by 1" more than they are supposed to be.

Should I just buy 245/40/17 with the 17x9 and just say **** the 235/45/17 and try to sell them :\

depending on the tire, 245 could be pretty square, or still a slight stretch. i know my Continental DW's are still stretched on a 9" wheel.

a 245 will fit better than your OEM tires for sure. 255 will be just about perfect on a 9" wheel IMO. it really depends on what you want.

What he said.

If I were going to go with a wider wheel, I would get the widest tires I could fit, but that's just me. Depending on the tire I would go 255 or 265.

Thank you fellas. I think I will wait until I have enough money for new tires and new wheels at the same time and not risk stretching them.

2012 hatch on bc br. Interested in rota svn 18x10 with 255/35. Not worried about rolling. Question is will I be able to fit with out a camber kit and/or lower control arms. I have seen these fit on a few vehicles but I would like to know how much work it requires. Like a I said I'm not worried about rolling

Most likely not.

You'll need some form of camber management in the rear. And depending on how low you are, you might need to pull the rear.
