You downloaded the latest defs from romraider forums?

You actually need to point the romraider to the def file location. Did you do that?

That not what I was saying. I'm referring to the definitions not the ecu map that you need have referenced.

This must be where I am not understanding. I unzipped the ecu definitions file. When I try to set it up as ecu definitions it keeps pointing me to subfiles until I pick one out of the forester xt group. I looked up the name for an 07 forester xt and 1clicked on this file. I thought this odd since I thought you would load the whole file and then let if find the file out of a list.

What am I doing wrong?

Well start from scratch.

Under the ecu def drop down menu click get defs. It will open the romraider thread, scroll to the bottom of the first post, download the zip. Once downloaded unzip to the location of your choice. The file name should say "ecu_defs.XML"

Back under the ecu def drop down menu in RR. Click ecu def man.

Click the add button. Locate "ecu_defs.XML" and click open. Then click save followed by apply buttons.

If I recall, when I unzipped the ecu file it read ecu_defs.DTD. I extracted it with windows. I thought this odd and why it had to keep going into subfiles looking for a xml file.

I can try to unzip again but feel it will do the same thing.

Maybe download 7zip or winrar?

I went through the steps as I wrote that last post. I used winrar but I also have 7zip installed.

Hopefully it works?
