No, but with expected wait times at 9 months I don't think I'll be getting another can anytime soon

Hey guys, in fort worth is there any range you can shoot rifle FMJ at thats like 100 yards? Also a place to shoot skeet near north fort worth. Right now we go to alpine and that a little far for us just to do skeet.

You will need to buy a different firing pin, the firing pins in gen4 give out after a firing a few rounds threw it. They were built with bad material.

The crazy gun owners who decided to hoard reloading components are obviously not in favor of gun rights. Their hoarding of supplies is preventing other gun owners from using their firearms far better than any government mandate ever did

So, I imagine the .gov shutdown is not helping in getting my Form 1 processed any faster.

I'm shooting only my carry weapon at this point, to stay sharp. Everything else, same boat as you.

WHAT? Dude, you might be a smart guy, but you have no idea what you're talking about. I've sold at least a hundred Gen 4 Glocks and have yet to see a single firing pin issue.

Please don't post things like that, because they're just flat out not true and you don't need to perpetuate rumors.

I am just saying what I have researched, it could have been the first few that came out and then after those I would guess glock fixed the issue with the material. I have nothing against glock I have one, but a gen 3 no problems ever.

I know the "problem" you mentioned, which is why I brought up the rumor fact. It wasn't a bad batch of firing pins or substandard materials. It was the Palm Beach Sheriff Department being cheap during the ammo crisis.

They wound up buying crap Speer ammo, which was loaded too hot and wound up cracking firing pins and damaging barrels. The problem was localized to their department and confirmed by Glock and independent testing to be an ammunition problem.

The Sheriff blamed Glock because he didn't want anybody knowing they bought bad ammunition. I don't even like Glocks that much, but if there's one thing they will never do, it's to put out a firearm that hasn't had tens of thousands of rounds through it to make sure continues to function as promised.

Quail Creek near TMS, 100 yard range, outdoor and plenty of lanes but they dont allow FMJ rifle rounds, has to be soft point. Range officers are fairly strict, but thats okay with me. Ive been there a handful of times, only had an issue when i was firing a .22LR too fast.

Yeah, I wasn't shocked either, and I've only been there for work. But those were a long three weeks.

South Florida is full of cheap bastards to begin with. Top it off with an economy in the crapper and management pinching pennies everywhere and it can be a recipe for disaster.

You work near the airport(PBI)? At the SO on Southern and Military?

No, it was when I was doing PR for Barrett-Jackson, so we were out at the Palm Beach Fair Grounds. But I haven't been back there since 07.

The fairgrounds are about 5 miles away from PBSO. Fairgrounds in any state are...interesting.

Why not? I always have a gun in my car, regardless of whether or not I'm carrying at the time. There are stories all over our gun threads about guys needing them, and I've had to pull mine before too.

In my view, it's just like my home. If I don't know you, and you're acting aggressive on my property, I'm going to defend myself. I'd rather that be with a pistol than with a hammer.

And most cops know that it's a law, so as long as you report that you have a gun in your car if you get pulled over, you'll be fine.

Your a hundred percent right, I just thinking of the few cops that will be hardas-es, to me its best to get your CHL and not have any worries and be able to carry. If you can afford a gun, you can afford the license.

That's not Amurikan, what about all the people at the range that don't even know how to operate their firearms?

Id be willing to bet, to learn how to operate a firearm is precisely why they are at the range

That's one thing, Ghetto Smurfs who points guns at you and Constables who limp wrist their glock to the point of consistent stove pipes.

...Gotta love the range
