Default ecu flash not reading

Hi I am struggling to connect ecuflash to vehicle.I have got everything installed and when I goto read ecu it gives me drop down menu for subaru then I click to read and it starts then puts up error message.Which is here what am I doing wrong.I dn't think I need jumpe cable just green connectors together,can someone help please,

I know for 02-03's you need the jumper and test connectors hooked up. My issuse with ecuflash is timing. I turn the key and hit ok ASAP otherwise it won't connect.

hi its 2002 bugeye,I didn't think you needed jumper leads just the green connectors if so where are the jumper connectors?
How do I pull a learning view from,I find this software really hard to use does it get easier?
It sys look at log how do I look at the log also?

yippee done it was looking for 2 pin connector but had 4 pin connector.Read straight away now where to go next.
