This was a awesome blue bird day, but the 39" over night at Stevens was by far my best day!

That day will live in infamy forever. Deepest snow I've ever shredded, including all the days of cat boarding and backcountry I've done.

Couple pics from that day....

I was there that day too! I had better days last year in terms of snow quality though.

Are you serious? That was some of the lowest moisture content snow we'll ever get around here. The snow quality was incredible!

A pic of one of my bro's who thought they could hang in the trees that day. We still talk about this moment and laugh! Haha

(What's this? Mr_Hox posting in NWIC?)

Just bought my first season pass to Steven's! This cold weather has gotten me way too excited about the pending season. ESPECIALLY after a concussion and MCL injury last season left me with only three days on the mountain. I need to make up for lost time!

With that, looking to pick up a new board/bindings for this season. Haven't been too up to date on the new stuff, so any recommendations?

Looking for a good all-mountain board in a size 157-162, and needs a medium-wide width of at least 255mm (size 10.5 boot).

I have a 156 Forum Scheme with Ride SPi bindings that is decent for the choppy days and light carving, but would like something that can float above the pow a bit better. Nothing too long as I'd like to still be able to whip through the tree lines. Dig the Ride bindings, and would like a separate set for the new board so I don't have to swap.

Money isn't too big of an issue, as my coworker is a sponsored rider for Sno-Con, so will be able to get a board at a pretty healthy discount.

ALSO looking forward to a few trips this season: Mt Bachelor for Christmas, Lake Tahoe for January, Whistler for February, and gonna try and take advantage of the SP pass deal at some of the Idaho/Montana resorts.

And also again, Steven's offers free lift tickets to a few places I've never been to. Where here do I absolutely have to visit?

Timberline
Mt Hood Ski Bowl (Tag both this and Timberline during the same trip?)
Schweitzer, Idaho
Bridger Bowl, Montana
Sierra at Lake Tahoe (been here before, planning on flying down to board with my twin brother)
China Peak (Fresno? Eww...)
Mountain High (LA = Dodgers fans. Eww...)
Angel Fire, New Mexico
Crested Butte, Colorado
Sbowbowl, Arizona (Would be a good chance to visit my friend in Phoenix)

Looking forward to trying out new mountains.

I just realized i'm not subscribed to this yet...

My major gear purchase over the holiday weekend? Insoles. :P

Season Passes for the family and ski lessons for the kid kind of run the well dry in the fall so not much for new gear. That said, I picked up a Skatebanana at the end of last season and only put one day on it in June.

I think its time to let the kid strap into a board this year.

Bachelor is the bee's knee's dude. My favorite by far. That's where I learned to snowboard. I'm stoked for ya!

Weird, Snoqualmie didn't make that list. :P

Watched Art of Flight last night. Forgot how much I enjoy that video. I need to get TITA on Blu Ray.

Absinthe Films Dopamine is premiering tonight in Seattle, as well as TGR's Way of Life. Sucks I've got me PE review class tonight! Dopamine should be awesome...they spent two weeks filming at Stevens last year.
