Default Detroit Subaru

Hello,

I didn't notice a Subaru thread for the Detroit area, so I figure I would make one.

My name is Tim, and I drive a 2002 Impreza 2.5TS in Midnight Black Pearl. It's not much, but it's mine and it's a pretty good learning platform. Done some small things to it, mostly functional. Since it was a completely dead base car with absolutely nothing on it... I'm slowly adding on little features and such off higher trim models. It's a work in progress.

I'm normally attached to the Kalamazoo Subaru scene, but I have moved to Detroit for the conceivable future to go to school, among other things. How is the scene around here in Motown?

Looking forward to meeting some of you hopefully!

Here is the link to the Michigan (Detroit Area) Meet Thread. Where in the Detroit area are you going to school?. There is a lot to do around the Detroit area. If you have not yet been I suggest going to The Henry Ford Museum/Greenfield Village. I also suggest making your way out to Brighton to check out the Lingenfelter Collection. It is probably the nicest car collection in the area. It is only open to the public a couple times a year so check out their website for open house dates. I think the next one is October 12th. If you need a dealership I highly recommend Hodges in Royal Oak. If you need a performance shop I recommend Oakos Automotive in Sterling Heights.
