Default No spark on 3 & 4, my rear two cylinders are not getting spark

Anyone have an idea why rear two coils on plugs won't get spark, wiring seems fine, timing belt lines up, coil packs are fine...

I was chasing this for 6 months on my Imprezas, mine turned out to be the timing belt was misalligned. I replaced the cam and crank sensors, ignitor, plugs, coil all just to find out i messed myself up with the belt...

I just did twin to single legacy swap and I have cam gear off, same reference points, just getting frustrated, I guess I'll try to realign, and reassemble, but could it be any other reason, this is the third time I've had to align

I aligned to the wrong mark on the crank gear instead of the tone ring.

The keyway in the crank should be straight down and the cam pulleys have to match the same ones thatbcame off the car originally. The tone rings.on.the back of the pulleys is different sometimes.

Ya i have the belt good, i have continuity to the plug too, is there any reason why the ECU might not run my 02WRX converted coilpack with no ignitor box(built into coil)? but only on the rear cylinders?? banging my head against that wall

It's not the timing belt, it's lined up, the issue is that we have weak signal to the rear plugs
Everything else checks out. Just not enough volts, 1-2 goes to 6 volts and the rears only 0.4 volts, I'm using 02+ coilpacks but the front two are working, I don't understand(and yes all coils work and have been tested)

For some reason I can't pull up an ignition diagram for your car but my default answer for 0.4v is that the transistor that drives these is clobbered.

And 6v is what you'd see with a 0 to 12v square wave with a 50% duty cycle (dwell angle, sort of).

What ive narrowed it down to...
The ECU i put in is a V4 ecu...the ignition system is the 02+ coilpack swap(ignitor removed, Car ran on the swap before i swapped ecus) for a V2 ecu.

meaning i have got from 4 signal wires to 2 signal wires. I have bridged them from the ecu to have 4 signals but only two of the cylinders fire.(front two), and i have tried switching them and bridging two of the opposing coils together... could really use a wiring schematic of both the V4 and V2 set up. or an alternative ignition system that would work for me

And we still have the issue, tried replacing the igintion system to match the ECU, didnt work, still only had 1 of the 2 ignition signals.

What would cause the ECU to only shoot of one of the ignition signals?

Does the tensioner matter between styles? my understanding is if it lines up, timing is correct...

common scoobi fans, its almost summer and i want this beast running

Since this question isn't Legacy specific, I would suggest you post in more appropriate forums where you'll get more exposure - either the Subaru Conversions forum or Engine Management & Tuning. You're asking a very limited audience here in the Legacy forum.

ended up being that the crank and cam signal wires at the ecu were not merged making them not speak to eachother limiting the singal from ecu. Thanks for help guys, Car is running and sounds BEAST
